I don't understand how some of you pull it off. I have a 2015 cts-v coupe (I know, it isn't a Ferrari like some of you have) but people still question me over some of my gens when pull up to work. Do you guys tell everyone it's a rep or do you try to play it off? I'm not trying to be an asshole.

Sc, I don't think the car you drive has anything to do with it, I know people that drive old Toyota Tacoma's that pull it off without an issue and will never be questioned. Then I also know people with high end sportscars that wear canal-street quality crap and everyone knows they are "Knock-offs" and I use the term "knock-off" here for a reason. I guess it has a lot to do with attitude, confidence and maturity.

Makes sense. I never question anyone else. Some people dump their money into watches and drive 94 civics, others dump it into cars and live in trailers. I just know where I live and work, everyone questions everything. Maybe it's a maturity issue on their end as well.

Agreed.
I have one coworker but always comments "hey you're wearing that Fo-mega again" just to be a dick but I work with the public and have had long conversations with people wearing Patak and Rolex and they have nothing but compliments and are quite friendly.
It's all dependent on The company that one keeps.
Personally, if anyone wants to dish it out, they better get ready to take it too.
I should add to that that if someone asks what watch I am wearing, I always say it's a replica of whatever brand if I am in fact wearing a replica.
I agree that it's all about how you carry yourself. If you don't try to come off as something you're not, no one questions unless they are just trying to be an ass hat.
I have a judge friend with a very nice Rolex who wants me to find him a certain Breitling in REP. LOL!
Dude can keep saying "hey you have on your Fo-mega" all he wants. I just have to sometimes remind him to kindly be quiet because the grown-ups are talking. :)

LOL, totally agree man, you have the right attitude. At work and elsewhere, everyone look at whatever watch I´m wearing. Sometimes they compliment me, and I thank them and leave it at that. Should anyone ever ask it it´s gen, I´m prepared to let them know It´s a Rep, maybe even brag about it and offer to get said model for them . :)

And remind them that you will be saving them between $1000 to upwards or $12,000 depending on the model and brand the want. :)

I wear my watch for ME!
I love the look of all my watches. Gens & reps!
Even in imperfect rep because, honestly, I'm not looking to show off a $12000 watch I didn't actually buy. I'm looking to have something I think is beautiful on my wrist & be able to look at it when ever I want.
I love Omegas.
Speedmasters,
Seamasters,
DeVilles,
Aqua Terra's. And not just a certain one.
Many in each group.
I do well for myself but honestly, it would be insane to just buy and buy because I thought they were beautiful.
One watch. That's honestly all anyone needs.
One watch to tell time if the cellphone battery dies.
But that's not why we have them is it?
No. It's because they are art.
Just like a collection of painting that may happen to have reproductions (exact copies) in it due to being unable to afford the original or the original is not for sale, so to is my watch collection. Gens, reps, all beautiful to me (the only one who matters) and no one questions.
If they do, maybe I ask why the JC penny shoes with the $2000 suit.
Give when you get and people won't bother you. Ever. :)

As a tribute to this discussion, I put on my most unrealistic rep (the first I ever purchased) a Seamaster PO with no working coaxial dials & missing dial emblem and went for a drive in the pouring rain.
Why?
Because I can.
I bought it, it's mine and like the realistic reps and gens I own,
I f-ing love it. Lol!
