I can see some flaws
- the rehaut is a bit wokky - worse aspect
- the crown guards are a bit too thin and taper funny
- the crown is bad
- the worse part of this watch besides the rehaut and it goes for all of them, is that the factory seems to not use a date wheel overlay and the date window is in the ETA position and too far right, Cyclops of course is also too far over

They are not TD's here due to unscrupulous business ethics (i know that's pretty lol). But honour among thieves and all that.
On the subject of the watch. Wokky rehaut, poor engraving, awful crownguards and crown and as the others have said, looks like an ETA datewindow without an overlay. I wouldn't touch it with yours.

I feel that its an insult to Thomas and his amazing TC Sub LV to even compare, let alone mention this rep, and TC's masterpiece in the same sentence.
Regarding this rep however, I emailed Josh to ask if he would sell the bezel, and insert from this model on there own, as it could be an alternative for those with a TC sub looking for a good LV insert, with a decent pearl. Sadly his reply was..

I just heard back from Sead and his determination is that this LV will accept gen parts...same quality as the BPSD.
Steel I really don't even know what to say about your comment except I'm glad you like your TCsub as I like mine.. But these are just watches bud, If a gen spec LV is now available for half the money even if the overall package isn't as good I think that will effect the TCsub in as much as people will have a cheaper alternative...and the case set on the new TCsubs are sterile, for me that effect it's attractiveness...and BTW I mean no disrespect to TC and he knows it ,Christ I'm a good client to TC and have spent a ton with him.

It's not even close to "gen spec" mate. Even IF it takes a gen size dial and bezel insert the rest of it is just horrible and not worth bothering with. There is a big difference between 'takes gen size parts' and what you are discussing. The effort involved in making this look good far outweighs just buying a TC case set.
I missed that thread rsh, thanks for sharing... I think we can agree now there's no SL factory, in fact this is according to Sead the same factory that's making the BPSD and for the most part I'm hearing all good reviews and they've been updating and improving it,,, that being said I believe we'll see that with this LV as well. There are a lot of mixed opinions about the flaws of this watch as it stands... But according to Sead this watch will take gen parts and we all know that means it can be frankend which should prove very interesting.

Oh sorry to over post you Bonesey, I've got several TC cases and several WM9's and one Sean case....so I'm all set for cases..I'm not so sure on the future of the bp factory and LV, but this is by far my fav model to work with..the LV I mean, not necessarily this bp model.

Curiosity got the best of me and I'm ordering the $168 21j version from Sead just to test out the case.
I've got some TC parts that I assume are the same spec as gen parts (dial, crown, crystal, v3 bracelet) as well as a WSO LV insert. I'll post some pictures as I attempt to fit them. I already tried and failed to fit most of them into a noobmariner case.
BR I think that's a great idea.... I've talked to Sead in detail and he believes this watch will accept all gen parts.... now all of you guys that doesn't know the importance of this, let me explain....
I should be able to order this watch with a clone 3135 in it and :
1. Install gen dial and hands
2. Install gen crown and tube
3. Install gen crystal
And boom! a uber bad ass franken sub
If the claims of 100% interchangeability are true..... that is what I've been going on about....

I am pretty sure you wont be able to buy it with a 3135 movement. Not the 3135 you want, perhaps the a2836 3135 decorated thing.
Think of it this way....buy a tc watch with the clone movement....sell its movement, $100, sell its dial and hands with dwo - $100. Sell the crystal....$40 - THEN you have a badass strap and case and crown to begin with and then you can throw in your parts list above

Rsh have you reviewed the BPSD? And that is good advise but I already have a TC midcase and it's sterile which makes it not attractive as its predecessor...I've considered sending it to Phong for custom engraving but that guy is ridiculous as far as price goes...... any suggestions? How to get a fully engraved midcase at a decent price? There are sterile midcases around from various parts houses that are 1:1that are about 50 bucks cheaper then the TC,,,,and equally appealing..... I've install a TC midcase in one of my WM9's and I love the cg's... it really makes the watch but I'm sacrificing the engraving,,,, and that I don't like.....

I really don't understand the insistence on trying to use this as a base for a franken. The two main parts of the case that really suck is the rehaut and the crownguards. Regardless of it taking genuine parts, those two aspects of the case will probably not be even close to being modded well enough. Once you have a bracelet on a TC case why would you even be bothered by engravings. As RSH said it's far more economical to work the TC angle and then get engravings from Phong.
