I was shopping last night and stumbled across a B & R dealer here in UK, had to have my first peak in the flesh!!

Really impressed with the BR03, SMIDSY, only one they didnt have was the Heritage Chrono!! just as well really.

Anyway, salesman gave me thick 2010/11 brochure, asked him what he thought of new Red Radar, never heard of it and also said no Heritage Chrono in stock because it is a limited edition, just shows how little some of their knowledge is, I didnt correct him either.

Anyway, had a gen BR03 on my wrist last night and liked it, shame the chrono rep is quartz, id be jumping all over it for the price :-/

I love brs they look stunning in the flesh you really have to hold on and have it on your wrist to appreciate the finish of the case and the dial, stunning I had the 03 phantom chrono on my wrist just after xmas man I want it almost as much as I want a gen pam.

They do have a certain 'something' :) but I do think they're somewhat overpriced... lol

every gen is overpriced....

tissot has the same movement in their watches as breitlings... remember this....

you're not buying a watch - you're buying an ad campaign

Yep, this is true...

If they were £1200 I'd get one tomorrow. If they were £1500 it would be a bit of a stretch but yeah, I could stretch. Being, what, £2600 for a -92? That's just ridiculous IMHO...

I love the brand and the watches a LOT but I just can't justify the price!! :(

I mean yes they're expensive BUT let's compare to Breitling? The SOSF with a 2824 retails for >2400GBP.... B&R does have a 2892 but yes they're expensive and whilst I cant explain why they are....

they're so pretty :)

plus if you want a gen I can help get you a discount.... if you have £1500 and want an 01/03 let me know :)

That's quite an offer! I need to get this studying finished so I can get a payrise and get saving... :D

And yes, they are so pretty... :lol:

I guess my rant is more aimed at the 'luxury' market in general, where you pay a lot for the label on a product that can be identical or even inferior to an equivalent 'no name' product that's a lot cheaper!

AH SORRY!

GoldSmiths in Metro Centre? Do you have any more details about who served you? I assume he wasn't from B&R was just a 'generic' salesman?

I do have his card at home, but he thought heritage chrono was a limited edition, thats why he didnt have one in! and not seen new radar, so i would say generic.

Just off the beat and track a little, I just read a post that you do watch repair/mods, is this correct?
