I kinda like this guy. He didn't know how to go about it but he asked a question.

I work in the South Bronx and the watches you see can be ridiculous. APs and huge fashion types all over the place. This would not be all that shocking to see.

OP that watch should function as well as any rep can be expected to. You may not be getting a real Swiss movement but it should be ok. It's just not what people come on here asking to see.

Ill be in the Bronx in a couple of weeks. I bet I won't see one of those pieces of shit at Stan's. if I do, I'll know it's the OP. get ready for abar stool to the teeth.

It's quite ironic that a few respected members, on a forum about watches that are meant to display a certain level of class and hopefully good character of the owner, should decide to ridicule and be quite nasty to a complete stranger who happens to have different taste to them. NICE ONE GUYS!

And to mr Bronx, it looks like a great watch to me, the ETA 2836 is a very reliable movement from what I've heard, buy it and wear it well mate.

You won't see them at Stan's because those are all people from the other boroughs there to watch the Yanks. But, venture in any direction (except into the East River) for a few blocks and you're chances get much higher.

Really like this watch, but i notice the face of the watch does not look gen, wrong font etc. im taking price into account that alot if time was invested for setting the stones.. so im not worried with the price . but how are the specs ? im new so i dont know .. would you buy it ? is the movement one of the smoothest sweeping ? any insight is greatly appreciated ... also any watches you guys know of with pave set stones on face AND band?(my only rep is a cartier santos 100xl with pave set stones all on the face/bezel) thank you

The specs are on the money. This is the same GMTII-C's most of these guys have in plain SS. The ETA is serviceable if you take it to someone competent. The watch is well built, should be waterproof (of course w/ proper once over & a test [easy/cheap]) so you could literally swim, or hit that jacuzzi without getting nervous.

I'm not a fan w/ the paved bracelet, but it's not my thing, eh? Pardon me for not joining the lynch mob. The paved bezel/case w/ plain bracelet are incredible looking. I'd wear these.

this one almost looks PVD. I think w/ a PVD case it would be pretty great, too.

Like you said, you can always replace a stone. If you like it buy it, you're good to go.

@p4gtr that model with the jeweled bezel alone is OK, but I just can't think of an occasion where I would wear it. The one with the midcase is over the top though.

@Bronx the noob mob can be rough, but the stupid mom jokes were also a little annoying and lost you some cred. Most of us are pretty helpful with normal watch questions, but it takes a turn for the worse with blingy models. Maybe because there are so few genuine counterparts. Or maybe because they're girly. I'd get my gf a gold GMT Rollie with red and blue jewels on a Pepsi bezel in an instant. But I haven't seen one for myself that I wouldn't wear as a joke.
