I found the following replica rolex ad:
http://www.expandmywealth.com/2009/09/0 ... -for-less/

I was thinking about buying one of these watches for my husband. Do you think it's really worth the price or should I get him a $100 replica from another site?

What is the difference between the $500+ replica and a $100 replica Rolex? I want to get him something nice, but at the same time not spend that much money. Any suggestions?

Hi Nicole, first of all, welcome to RWI, I think you are now the third lady here on RWI.

The WM9 is one of the best Subs out there, you can buy it from BK
viewforum.php?f=117

here is a review of that watch from one of the best guys in the rep world
viewtopic.php?f=186&t=45164

if it is a special present, go for it. There are some good reps available for 250 USD but the WM9 is the best.

YOu Rolex guys can jump in now :D

forgor to say, buy from a trusted dealer and not from the side you posted. I have not seen it.
Expect some time for the delivery. Just contact the dealer I told you about in my post

And if you want to get even crazier, you could go with a BKLM WM9. Its a WM9, but with BK's special touches, such as a better crown, and sometimes a better pearl if needed. These, of course are even more expensive.

It all depends to how close to genuine you want the watch to seem. To someone who doesn't know Rolex, the Noob edition cheaper sub will look no different to them than the real one. To people more experienced, the noob edition is easily noticeable as being fake.

Now if you want to better fool knowledgeable Rolex people, the WM9 is the way to go. To go even further, the BKLM will really stump people.

Just remember that there is no perfect 1 to 1 copy of the Submariner out there, if it were 1 to 1 then they would sell for thousands of dollars. But if you want the closest there is, the BKLM WM9 is the way to go, then the WM9, then the Noobmariner.

Here is BKLM's version of the WM9:http://forum.replica-watch.info/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=117&t=48074

Again, it's all about how much you want to spend, and how close to genuine you actually need/want to go.

I hope this helps.

Does your husband know about watches in general? Does he know about replicas?

I wish you were my wife

Very good choice, your husband should be proud to wear that watch.

I will be the odd man out here and say that $570 is too much for a Rolex replica. There are many decent version for less than half that. Just my humble and unsolicited opinion.

Welcome to forum and have fun shopping. :D

agreed. id never pay over 300 unless i really really want it, but never over 400.

and he does know its a rep correct?

if i was a wife and the husband didnt know jack about watches or reps in general than id stay away from rolex. thats just me though and more for reasons that just involve being a common brand. id rather go IWC as a safe classy option and you dont have to worry about accuracy as much either.

now if my wife decided to buy me a bk sub.... well of course id let her!

personally i rather her use that money to book me a ticket somewhere tropical or on a nice hotel room + a hooker.

And romantic.

I bought a Yacht-Master from BK and was very happy with his service. I'm still a noob so I can't speak to the finer points of the reps but I know my watch exceeded my expectations by far. Tell your husband he's a lucky guy.

Can you recommend a reasonable price please for a good quailty sub then? I've also been looking at WM9. They are quite pricey and the materials and movements seem to be the same as something from our other dealers for half the price.

Thanks.

The WM9's from BK are without question worth the extra money. They are not 'the same as from other dealers for half the price'. IMO, they are of better quality and more accurate to the gen.

Having said that, it's up to each buyer to determine if the flaws that can easily be spotted in other 'lower priced' reps are acceptable to them. If an asian movement is OK, go for it. If you don't care about the crown guards or crowns, fine. Bad pearl and insert acceptable? Then you can certainly save money. There are many variations of the Sub out there and many price points.

The noobmariner is closer to $100 and it may be perfectly fine for some people but if you are looking for the best 'out of the box' Sub, then the BK WM9 is currently it.

The sub on WM9's website is $575 i'm guessing that BK WM9 will be even more right?

thanks, what do you think of WM9's datejusts? I'm assuming they will be better quality when compared to the ones our dealers supply.
