The color of the bezel insert on the rep is too white and it is very noticeable

It's all on your own mind, just wear it wherever you want.

The biggest tell is the wearer

Even if you wear a gen watch and you don't look the part... everyones gonna think its a fake anyway

I know guys with plenty of funds and they all own reps, and they all tell me the same thing. I would never waste that much on a watch. Most wealthy people are very cheap.

Does this kind of conversation really happen often? Do you stop people in the street when you spot them wearing a specific watch? Would you call someone out at a club, in a restaurant, at the beach or on a golf course for possibly wearing a rep? Get a f****** life.

Who does this? 16 years old rolling around in beat up Integras?

Me, I see a nice watch, I compliment people on it. I don't question about where they got it, how much they paid, if they know it was a limited edition that cost 30K a piece... That's just being disrespectful. Unless, again, they are clearly wearing a rep (I'm talking Canal street quality here) but pretending otherwise. Those people deserve being called out.

I don't see that kind of thing happening unless you're talking out of your a** trying to impress people with a rep. Or trying to fool someone who's really educated in high end watches. Or an AD (that would just be plain dumb and, again, I can't imagine a mature grown person doing that). Or by trying to pawn it (you deserve to get beat up if you try that s***).

My 2 cents.

3000 bucks a day? what in the world do these guys do
They work in Sherwood Forest with a guy in green leotards...lol They rob information about magical very expensive watches that only cost a few hundred bucks if you spend a lot of time on watch forums and know which one to pick out of the many that are fools gold and junk...."it'd be easier if they would just tell me instead of making me read all this junk and getting mad and flaming me when I asked so I've figure out a clever way to trick them into telling me"....

OP is "going offshore with a load of bubble heads" meaning on a way to an oilplatform (?) he´s going to spend lots of time with a bunch of guys sitting and facing each other for hours and nothing to do but look at each other and talk about equipment in tight environments like helicopters/ offshore inflatables/ boats. By no means the usual type of company/environment and situation. Would take at least an Olight Warrior indestructible cree xml flashlight with me along with the DSSD on such a trip to give more room for discussion of "man"-things.

.... Hand the DSSD around and ask for pro-opinions on its performance capabilities, than please post here on the forum the 3 watches the pros are using:)

Deep sea sat divers, live under compressed environment (ie 14 bar for approx 140m WD.) 98% helium 2% oxygen gas mix for 28 days, work on seabed fixing & installing oil and gas infrastructure. Relatively risky especially in event of a rare but fatal rapid decompression http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byford_Dolphin.
