Why are there so many more cool rep watches for dudes? Most of the women's reps are covered in fake diamonds. I don't get it. If there were more, maybe there would be more women here. I understand I am now one of the very few here.

wow another lady on the forum. To answer your question, I think maybe because the hobby of watch collecting tends to be dominated by men. I think the factories make reps that sell. So being that more men's watches are sold, more of them are made.

Welcome to the forum. I have a feeling you are gonna be as popular as the other 2 ladies here. I predict this thread will get more responses than any of my threads. :( `

Hi sleeb,

I'm not sure what brands you prefer, and I do not know nearly what the others here know about reps. Personally, I like the IWC, Omega, Rolex, and Cartier (not a big Tag, Pam, or Breitling fan). It seems to me the Cartier reps for women are better than the men's (often with a larger variety - many without all the "fru fru"). My wife and I own both gens and reps - she has a great two-tone Cartier Santos rep that is very classy.

Happy hunting - for me, the hunt is the most fun about this hobby (for the time I've waisted finding some reps, I could have bought the gen  ).

Well Sleeb, it seems that watch makers are not as nearly innovative when it comes to designs for woman, which is unfortunate, but many ladies are getting around this by wearing mens watches which is a great alternative. Personally, I think a mans watch on a woman looks fantastic.

BTW, welcome to the forum. :)

There are many replicas for women but not high quality ones imo.
Also, because of the size of most womens replicas the GZ factories are left with using Quartz or ETA 2671-1 and the majority of their platforms are parts manufacturing are for 2824, 2836 & 7750 movements thus leaving high quality womens reps to small runs... and that is not very profitable.

I have went through several for my wife.. below are some of the ones that I think were better than others.

hey sleeb, you are most welcome. we definitely need more ladies... i agree with you, though, the ladies selections seem sparse at best.

have you ever considered wearing classic rolex explorer I? they're only 37mm, beautiful, timeless, elegant, understated. n this may be from a man's perspective (but i know many a male who feels this way), there's is something just so sexy about a woman wearing a man's watch (with the bracelet on the looser side, well, like a bracelet). my gf wears one n it just looks soooooo good...

Kinda like when a good looking woman wears mens boxers or a man's button up shirt. Yeah, very sexy!

@Phicks, I may be the Sarah from last night. Unless, 2 of the 4 females here are names Sarah

@D4M, nice pics! Thanks for sharing those! I am currently looking at Rolex Reps. FM has advised me on bands, bezels and such so now I'm hunting. After seeing your pics, I have found new hope. I really like the Cartier. And please, tell me you aren't the one who picked up the DJ off of FM two days ago!

Agree with hambone...the right mans watch can look fantastic on a woman...and don't try to find the smallest dial you can, mid to large could look stunning depending upon the watch. Try it, you might like it.

p.s. welcome aboard Sleeb; I've been here ages myself ( a week or two).

Ah now if you spread out into other brands there is some pretty cool stuff. Cartier, tag. I think women just don't care about watches that much. Hell AW doesn't even talk about them. You guys get to accessorize in a multitude of ways. Watches are all we have.

Well I did the reverse. My first Rep was a 'ladies' B&R 03. At 38mm it was the perfect size for my spindly wrists. It's one of the few quartz watches I have but gets lots of wrist time because it's ideal for the weekends when I play golf, go cycling, stack wood etc. Originally it was a fantasy model but now B&R do a 39mm model. I just got the original 42mm model this week. That's my long winded way of saying I agree with Hambone.

Hey, I have MENTIONED watches from time to time. They just don't happen to make up a significant portion of my posts. But following your advice of coming out of my cave once in a while (I'm not saying "hole"), at least I found your reference to me before it had been out there a couple of months (where I find out in retrospect that I want your body and all).

And by the way, watches are not all you men have. I can assure you that my adolescent stepsons have had way more piercings than I'd ever want. And those were only the ones that I could see. No telling what they had pierced under their boxers. And I don't need to know either.

Welcome, Sarah. It has sporadically been suggested that there be a women's watch section here. But as you've already observed, there aren't that many great women's watches to talk about, and even fewer women to talk about them. 36anne63 can probably direct you to a few that she's bought but she does tend to like the blingy ones.

Have fun!
