Why have I never seen this Breitling Super Ocean before?

Out of curiosity, I was looking for a gen comparison shot of a Burberry Heritage Chronograph that's for sale and saw this pop up in my search...

With the thousands of reps available, how is it that this one was never made????

Lots of good reps that can be made with the current movements in the rep world, for example, the seconds at 9 Daytona with correct sub-dial spacing [using the A7750 used on the Planet Ocean Chrono]. Lazy repmakers! =(

normally I would only consider the non-crono heritage, but this panda looka really amazing... couldn't it be done as a franken project, with a gen dial and and a a7750?

Breitling SuperOcean Heritage Chronograph 125th Anniversary - 46mm Stainless Steel - SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION (only 1000 pcs!!!) - Reference: A23320

In celebration of 125 years of watchmaking, Breitling has commemorated this anniversary with the SuperOcean Heritage Chronograph Special Edition 125th Anniversary watch. Made in 1,000 pieces each of Black, Silver Dial and Gun Status Blue.

Each watch has the letter "B" for Breitling in 18k gold, placed above the brand name at the 12 o'clock position.

The only serious difference among the two chronometers is that this new Breitling bases its Caliber 23 movement on the time-proven Valjoux 7753 (it also ticks inside the recently introduced Panerai Luminor Chrono Daylight 44 mm Titanium Blue Dial (ref. PAM00326) chronograph watch.

Based on the excellent quality of the Superocean Chrono, I don't see how they would have much trouble getting this version right. The case, bezel, fonts, date wheel, logo, markers, hands, pushers, crown... on the Superocean are already available. Should be easy for them to work out the rest of it.

If I get myself a present on my 40th birthday in a few years it will be a SOH with a mesh bracelet.
Seeing this one makes me even more sure...

Will also send Hublot a letter asking for one and see if they are willing to sponsor a normal person and make a mere mortal happy! hahaha.
