May be a silly question, but if you are looking for the best of the best, why not buy directly from Noob factory? Is that even possible?

well ...

it would be possible to buy watches directly if Noob factory has a own commercial selling website as a TD here.
I wouldn't suspend that Noob is TD in RWI :D Let the games give a GO, who is the TD well known as "Mr Creme De La Creme" aka Noob factory

:bull:

Hi Galaxy -

The problem is that factories do not sell direct to the end consumer. There is too much risk of them being found/caught. You may have seen an advertisement for Noobfactory.com
Please be advised that this is NOT noob factory, but a scam site that is trying to make business off of the well known name in the rep world.

The way this industry works is that all of our TD's (Trusted Dealers) are our gateway to watches made by the factories. All of the TD's will have access to the same watches (For the most part) and can get you anything that is currently offered or available.

In regards to price - the various prices offered by TD's are usually very close to one another. Each of our TD's will use their own calculations when determining how much to mark up the watch compared to the factory price which they pay from the actual maker. This is why you will see variances in prices of our watches ranging $10-40 from different TD's. Are the watches any different? No. But your experience with various TD's may be different for various factors (Communication, payment method, shipping style, QC speed and quality, and the list can go on and on). The price difference is many times warranted if you have a great long standing relationship with a TD that never lets you down and always goes the extra mile to help you out

As we always say here, pick your TD first - then choose a watch. Make sure you stick to the trusted dealers listed here on our forum (This will yield best results and you will have the forums support should anything go wrong)

I pay more for my reps though InTime but they don't require me to use WU. I can use my chosen payment method. Other TDs are less but PureTime and UnTime have the easiest and varied payment methods. That said if I were to get a bad watch I would likely just reorder rather than go through the time and hassle to send it back or send it to a Forum watch repair guy.

I would never use PayPal to make a claim or VIsa. I am ripe for ripping off. I understand the risks and am willing to take them. But I don't buy a whole lot of reps so the losses would be low. PureTime and InTime Are not the lowest, but Ryan has been a straight up guy,
Waiting on a PAM from him. Going to try one out. Want a Daytona but seems they are a crapshoot. I try to stay away from all 7750s and Daytona's seem to be hacked 7750 to get the second hand dial right,

Haha. With all the disputes and complaints noons have about dealers. If the factories sold dissect the would be reported and out of business in a week.

When a system is in place and it is working, often it is best not to touch it. Between factories/TDs/forums and members the present system works.
Let factories specialize on production/assembly and improving the qc and the TDs deal with the logistics involved in the rest/retail.
As for gen watches, except some smaller and medium boutique brands establishing themselves, You never buy factory-direct either.

Tommy. I agree with you. To me buying reps is about being able to enjoy and appreciate the watches as mechanical instruments without being a person of wealth. I like collecting them. I like wearing different one every day. So thats my question, I guess - surely for people who appreciate quality pieces and are intersted in daling directly with the factory on a trusted buyer basis, why would the factories not do this? Im just saying that it should be both ways. Just like there are TD's here, may be there should be TB's - trusted buyers.....

Because what they're selling is illegal, and frankly it's not worth their time/risk to sell individually to end consumers. They're not making rep watches simply for their love of haute horology, they're in it for the money, plain and simple. There's already such a thing as a "trusted buyer", we just happen to call them "trusted dealers" instead. In this business everyone makes a cut, and unless you can guarantee you'll be buying in a volume large enough for the factories to take the risk of selling directly to you, it's just never going to happen. They need to protect themselves first, which would be awfully hard to do if one could simply google "Noob Factory Contact Details" and find them plainly listed on some forum because 85,000 people, or just a couple for that matter, were buying directly from them. The way the system works now is fine, and as Daywatch rightly pointed out, if it ain't broke don't fix it. The TDs can guarantee the volume they need in order to buy directly from the factories, as well as insulation on both ends - protection for the factory by limiting their exposure, protection for us by being able to inspect/QC/return/repair watches that don't meet our standard.

All that notwithstanding, you'd have to be fluent in Chinese before anything else - the TDs learn English in order to interact better with us, the factories are under no such obligation. Also, the factories aren't shipping watches internationally, so once you learn Chinese you'd best head on down to the rep market to pick up your watches in person.

The same reason why Columbian drug cartel factories don't sell direct to street junkies.

Both factories are illegal
