Why does everyone have a leather strap PAM and not SS Bracelet?

People truly misuse the term "bling" [which IMO shouldn't be used at all as it's such a stupid word], explain to me how a SS bracelet is vulgar. The Gaytona is "blingy" because it's over the top vulgar and tasteless, a PAM with an SS bracelet is sporty.

I think the old style PAM bracelet makes the watch looks cheap, when you on the other hand, see it as sporty. Matter of personnal taste :)

Yep, it all boils down to personal taste. Now if you'll excuse me, noobs, I'm wearing my classiest piece which you're all too tasteless to wear.

Sorry but I'd rather wear a Big bang Apple. My grail watch, or how to spend $38K on a watch that looks like a $5 crap from a vending machine

Gaytona is $64,000 you can sell it and get 2 of these for a little extra, one for each wrist for maximum classy.

well people likes pams beocuse of the dial and case , makes it look unique! so when u wear it with leather , u can apriciate the shape of the case and dial combo ( the head) of the watch , i guess when u have it on ss bracelet , it is harder to concentrate in just the head . imo

+ 1 on the "head" bit (it's why we love you Pec) ;)

"Bling"... It denotes diamonds in one's teeth and hanging a wall clock around your neck. Nuff' said.

Personally I'd like the word "awesome" to be erased from the vernacular. Awesome is such a mediocre way of describing something that is truly deserving of a word that elevates it. Kind of like "My bad" is less about claiming responsibility and more a declaration of "I suck". It's just easier to say that and nothing close to sincere or definitive. Anyway, I digress...

As straps were THE ONLY choice when Panny's were introduced, it would seem intuitive that people tend to prefer a strap to a bracelet. I'm currently looking at one of these for my incoming 177M...

Plus, it's fun to shop for "a new pair of shoes"... :D

Some people are not native English speakers, and expressing nuances in a foreign language is often quite difficult. I use the words I know, including "awesome", because it's a close translation of a word I use in my native language :)

Yep, very true... Let's keep in mind that many people around here (could even be the majority) are not native English speakers, nor really master the language...

>Wiz, what word would it be that translates closely to "awesome"... I think of a few but cannot really decide... ;)

How is everyone's feeling as far as when rubber straps look good on Pams. Polished or brushed watch heads fit rubber better?

Not quite a fan of rubber, but true that's an option that hasn't been mentioned.

I'd have to say... a mix of the two!!! It just goes well with anything PAM-ish... Probably better with polished... but still...

Your watch looks great Pakz. I just wasn't sure if the majority of Pams with rubber straps were being sold on polished or brushed. It seems like the polished ones wouldn't go well with rubber as they are a more classier look. I'll have to search some more Pam threads when the time comes.
