Why does everyone have a leather strap PAM and not SS Bracelet?

I wanted to get anyones input on why the hell does everyone have a leather strap pam? Why not have it in SS?

Also, unless your strap is clasp style, to me they are a hassle, and tough to adjust after they are off. A clasp style is instant and your done.

Also makes the watch pretty heavy ...

And with straps you can make the watch 'personal' , so many choices ... it's great to change them every now and again.

... and also I prefer rubber straps.

well people likes pams beocuse of the dial and case , makes it look unique! so when u wear it with leather , u can apriciate the shape of the case and dial combo ( the head) of the watch , i guess when u have it on ss bracelet , it is harder to concentrate in just the head . imo

For me, some in leather or rubber (217, 212, 318, 088) and some in SS (329, 236).
So good to keep changing of style.

Tried a bracelet on my 177 and it failed miserably...
Ordering a nice vintage chocolate dark brown with some nice stitching for it, might order other straps for it in the future, a nice matte crocco might look sexy too.
But as stated above, bracelet makes it look way to blingy.

Leather gives the watch an entirely different look, and most gen Pams are on leather straps.

I HATE deployants on leather straps! I have a nearly 8" wrist and have great difficulty getting my hand through most deployants made for leather straps.

It's all personal taste. So if you buy a Pam, wear it on whatever you want.

I enjoy changing my straps all the time...
Today I wear a Nato leather strap, but yesterday it was a yellow leather one...
I have huge number of straps, even engraved and custom made buckles and one skull buckle..
Everyday I wear I new watch just by changing my strap.. its a lot of fun for sure..
+ I CAN MAKE WHATEVER STRAP I THINK :lol2:

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the most obvious reason. Pams were historically worn on leather, and since so much of the brand today is built around the history, it makes sense that people want to continue to rock the leather.

Personal taste yes - but some Panerais cry out for a bracelet, especially white faced models. For that fresh summer look: the 251, on the new brushed, tapered H-factory offering, can't be beaten. And, of course, the classic 10d on the old style polished/brushed bracelet....

pams r as versatile as any one can imagine.. rubber, SS bracelet, leather, nato.. one of e few brands where, when it comes to pairing them, ur imagination is e limit.. &as for deployant or buckle, its really up to u.. customization makes each pam unique to e owner/ wearer..

People truly misuse the term "bling" [which IMO shouldn't be used at all as it's such a stupid word], explain to me how a SS bracelet is vulgar. The Gaytona is "blingy" because it's over the top vulgar and tasteless, a PAM with an SS bracelet is sporty.

I had my 111 on bracelet and found it to be " vulgar " ...
It's all down to personal taste i quess
