If the TC wasn't a Rouge, then it would be no contest. But, because it's the silly, modded, "Ooh look at me I'm 'Thomas Cadell' and I want to be a real watch designer not just a rep factory so I'll stick a Yacht-Master second hand and a black DWO on this Sub rep" version...

I still prefer the TC.

(I have the TC parts to convert my Rouge back to a proper Sub. It's on the to-do list...)

And RainbowNato I've never seen a ceramic Sub on a brown leather strap. And now I have, I can see why I haven't. Maybe you should switch it onto a rainbow Nato.

I see, but at least for me anyway I would have a natural bias as the models are different. I would prefer a 5 digit vs 6 due to its design, but I would definitely be more bias with a 4 digit over 5 and 6, a negative relief dial for me trumps the tritium and the modern luminova.

I was very lucky to find this slightly odd one more or less unworn, beggars can’t be choosers, they say. So far, I have installed a gen crystal and VSF crown and tube on it.

I'm pretty sure we had this same conversation on another thread... Your plan to go with gen parts is certainly the best. I was lucky enough to get the TC parts as a gift, so it's a no-cost easy parts swap (well, if getting a DWO in the correct position could be described as "easy"...).

The Kermit insert is the original stock TC. These turn up quite regularly on eBay being sold as gen - they're a pretty good copy. The 16613LN TT insert is gen.
