yea, i just bought one off of paneristi.com this morning for $120. The guy seemed to be legit (had 5 other straps for sale and very fair prices for them) but it's SO HARD to look up people on that website and see feedback/what else they have sold. Does anyone know where to being in "buy the seller" step?

Here's the thread I bought the strap on.

http://www.network54.com/Forum/353393/thread/1307324289/last-1307370322/F-S-+OEM+rubber%2C+Gunny+and+...

Anything to be concerned, or know how I can see what else he's sold? Like I said, I already paid, but I"m curious how to research a seller on there.

We'll see, since I've just picked up the other OEM rubber from him :)
I'm in the EU, so you'll receive yours a bit earlier.

Good luck to us;)

edit: +1 rep to you for the link

I just received my gen strap today and put it on my PAM right away. Best part about it....It doesn't smell like Vanilla, it smells like Rubber!!

It's so supple, unlike any strap I've ever owned. Even better than some of my calf leather straps. Here's a pic of it and a lume shot for fun=)

Where did you get this gen rubber strap? Is the buckle gen as well?

I got the strap from the panerisiti forum from a dealer for $75. THe buckle is a rep because I'm waiting for a great deal on a gen brushed deployant, usually going for around $200. The rubber came in the AD packaging and had a price tag for $150 and it's brand new never worn. They've got some really great deals on pristi for gen PAM's too. 177, 219 and 111's going for $4-5k all day everyday and most of them are 95% or newer.

I've started saving...now. Gen PAM351 in 2013=)

It's not hard at all to search for what transactions a member at p.com has had.

Type the member's username in the SEARCH box in the Collector's Market, Accessories Corner, and Public Forum, select the DATE option, and BOOM! All their posts and replies are shown.

So my strap came on Friday, I put it on the watch and got to test it out. First thing I did was smell it, I really didn't know how else to check it, but it was all rubber smell, no vanilla at all. I must say it's MUCH softer than the rep one, and a lot more flexible. Wears softer too. Gotta say, well worth the $100 since I wear this rep a LOT, it wears so comfortable now!

Was never a fan of the rubber. I haven't tried the gen though. You guys are tempting me. If my 005k was water proof then I probably go with the gen rubber and go swimming with it. Other wise I'm happier with leather.

That's why I did it to my 026k. It's my vacation/beach/summer watch. I sealed the crown and caseback, am having it pressure tested, and it's going to be my go-to swimming watch.

How do you seal the crown on the 026k? Do you apply a rubber o-ring between the case and the crown? Or simply use silicone grease?

I tried to do search but did not find too much information...... Just facts.

Well, I'm not sure that's it's 100% "sealed". I removed the crown (or rather SFA from RG did it for me :) ), applied the silicone grease to the gasket, and put it back in. Did the same to the caseback.

Is the only noticable difference between the gen and rep rubber straps the softness and feel?

Thnx

I got a Gen rubber XL strap off Paneristi. com, for $110 shipped. I had to , the rep straps were too small for my 8 1/4" wrist. The Gen strap is great.!
