A guy named Flavor Flav over at RWG, not sure if he's here....he sold both his modded VC's they also had AR from the first AR run over there as well. Looked real good but were too rich for my blood over $500 a pop.
Not sure if he's still doing mods on them, but a good place to start anyways.

What do you guys think about the 2 different VC Overseas on B9?

The older one at the bottom looks good, but has the bad looking cross, and no beveling on the date window (the gen looks like it has a small amount of beveling).
The newer one at the top has a better looking cross, but a host of other problems. The beveling on the date window is too wide; the hands are the wrong shape; the font used for "Vacheron Constantin" seems to be off, and there is no mark above the "e" in "Geneve".
I'm thinking about getting an overseas and having it modded. Is there anyone who has a model closer to the gen than B9 (short of the cross and AR issues)?

Buy the 2nd gen VCO from any reputable dealer of your choice. Buy the 1st gen dial with better cross from Silix. Extract the cross from the old dial and transplant it onto the 2nd gen dial. Lume the second gen dial. Send the crystal off for AR. Have flavor flav do some bracelet mods.
Here's mine after all that:
Milling of the endlinks to bring them flush with the case and injecting some resin to eliminate the hollow feel. The bracelet is fantastic after these mods. You'll also want to loctite each and every screw in there. These things are notorious for falling out, and some of them are very oddball screws that you'll never source locally.stockey1 said:

Yep, yours, mine and the other one he sold are the only 3 in the world (so far). I think a few more VCO crystals are coming through for AR this month.
