Guys,
I am very nearly about to order a new Pam... Or two... Aye... Maybe two.
I have my heart set on a white face... Probably on a tan leather strap.
One of the things I love most about pams is the simplicity. And my requirements are fairly simple. I would like a second hand and I don't want a chronograph. Size wise I would er toward the smaller pams. No bigger than 44mm... I have a7" wrist.
I have done a bit of research and this is where I am.
I have ruled out the 518, 188 and 251 as they are chronographs. I have also struck off the 114 as it has no second hand and the 499 as it has a date window.
That leaves 113, 563 and 785 - feel free to throw in other suggestions.
Info on the 785 seems to be pretty scarce. I can find one review of a Davidson release which seems to rate it a bit better than mediocre.
The 563 looks lovely but from reading a review the biggest flaw is the case is significantly deeper than gen. This is not a big issue for me as I am more intent on getting a good looking watch than a 100% replica.
That leaves the 113. which seems to be the go to white face pam. I don't dislike it in any way at all but I just prefer the look of the 785. The 113 seemed to get the best reviews in terms of quality and accuracy of the rep.
And here comes the dilemma. Is the 785 worth the extra $40 just for a very slight aesthetic improvement?
