If you want, post a pic to show us what you decide to wear. I'm curious about your final decision.

I will make it a point to upload pics of myself, Mrs. Iliketowatch and some of the other attendees...plus if course whatever I decide to put on the wrist!

I think a smurf sub would go well.

Def the montauk out of the selection you posted - as long as it doesn't clash w the colors of your jacket and shirt.
I always try to make the color of my belt/shoes match the color of my leather watch band as well.

How do you like your IWC grand complication fantasy? Good build quality?

That Roadster and the YM are pretty nice but if you want flash then the MH with a white strap.

What about a nice silver day date/DateJusts with a flutes bezel on a preppy striped NATO?

So, I ended up going with the Montauk Highway. It was the right choice. I saw a number of Rolexes, a few Tags, but no APs. The colors on the MH went well with the seersucker jacket.

I like the IWC grande complication fantasy quite well. It doesnt get a huge amount of wrist time but the Lemania movement is rock solid and keeps great time.

Its a little large for a dress watch and has a little too much going on on the dial but it does get into the rotation once or twice a month.

I think I am psychologically predisposed to not wearing it because I know its a fantasy model and an easy rep spot for someone familiar with the brand.

Oh, also, I almost never bother matching shoes/belt/strap. Too limiting. I have 50ish pairs of dress shoes and probably more belts, and my favorite straps are the exotic skins anyway. I prefer to coordinate versus match. Anyway....

Naaa...a Sub does not. A Sub states you hard! The FM casablanca on a solid black calf skin strap wd av gone perfect with this attire IMO.

Nice jacket, the MH was the right choice.

Nice pictures anyway, looking sharp there mate.

Thanks, Gents. Event was a lot of fun by the way.

My friend who sponsored the event comped everything for us, and, as we all know, the only thing better than daydrinking and catered food on a gorgeous day is free daydrinking and catered food on a gorgeous day!
