Hi guys,

I hope you are all well, i am getting married in August :) and was thinking about this earlier...

Which watch should i wear to get married in? I was thinking it shouldn't be anything to blingy but nothing to plain.

Do you guys have any pics/ideas/reccomendations? Theres to many watches out there to choose from.

Currently i have in my collection:

1. Green Rolex Hulk (Noob)
2. Tag Heuer Day/Date Calibre 16 on Alligator leather strap.
3. Oris TT1 Diving Watch. (Gen)
4. Tag Heuer Aquaracer Blue. (Gen)
5. Brietling Skyland Avenger.

Collection is very small at present sold a fair few watches. Might buy something new of course but if anyone has any suggestions i would be very grateful.

Ideally something eye catching and magnificent and not over the top either.

Congrats on joining the club!

Get a Rolex TT GMT II C mate. The 116713LN.

Goes very well with a nice dark suit.

Wear your gen Aquaracer. Nobody will see or care about your watch anyway.

Oh yeah....on my wedding day, I wore my trusty Seiko.

That was 31 years and 17 days ago!

Thanks guys yeah I was most likely thinking the aqua racer, I also have a nice black accurist that I could wear.

I don't really think of reps as reps lol just a watch ;) but I see your point to, nobody will care but me and it may as well be a gen.

Could also consider buying a different gen. Have been thinking about selling the tag...

Thanks so far :)

I agree with something Gen. And if you are REALLY set on a rep, I'd go for a Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Contemporaine.
But then you don't want too understated, so maybe a Rollie Datejust or sth.

Ideally a simple, white-dialled gen dreswatch between 35 and 39mm. Preferably on a gen black gator.

That is the way you should roll. Really.

Your wife should be eye catching and magnificent. Wear no watch, you are not in any hurry on your wedding day. It is the best man's job to ensure that you are there on time :)

Other than that, why not try a Sinn Technik Regulateur or a Portugese, something more classy.

You're not attending a sports event, so do not wear anything remotely sporty looking.

I wouldn't worry about wearing a rep. It's a real watch. It's like worrying about taking ibuprofen instead of Advil encase the ibuprofen is not "real." Of course it's real it's just not the name brand. I just don't think the watches you mentioned are very dressy.
