Hmm, never heard of it... But you can find a couple of TDs here that can help you with custom builds, plating, GEN parts, etc.:

actually i read it here. someone said QF factory will do extra gold for $300+. while browsing td websites i also noted one of them had a drop down box to add gold, but it was for the old factorys.

anyways are u guys saying factorys wont do upgrades apon request?

It sounds like you’re mixing up the “gain weight” (tungsten) models from QF, with gold plating.
Tungsten and gold plating are not the same.

You can buy an upgraded “gain weight” version of certain models.

You can't talk to the factories, you buy through a dealer. Trusted Dealers are dealers, they sell what the factories offer. They don't take custom orders. And the factories do (limited capacity) mass production, not bespoke one-offs.

If you're interested in getting a gold rep re-plated, simply buy the rep, then find somewhere local (ie not China... well, unless you live in China) to do the replating. Same with movement upgrades.
