But mine is more on the yellow side (although the photo doesn't reflect the true color). Looks like he has a new orange colour which is more orange and therefore closer to the Santoni. Love your strap!

Yup, my orange is more vivid although I'm getting strange squeeking noise from the lugs... was wondering if the strap is too wide or it's the orange leather that does not like grinding hard objects....

Oh, I think we have a mis-communication here

higginsd is not a strap maker, he just thought it was Santoni. And I told him "no it's not, higgind, it's from my strap maker"

Then Peter Pan came in, he has few straps from the same Italian guy, so he also showed how his orange looks like (he asked for orange few months earlier).

So, if You need a contact fro that strap guy from Italy, drop me a PM and I will share it

From NDC straps, there is a maker called "Erikas originals" that make them as well. They come with either a red stripe or yellow

I've had a few discussions with the NDCStraps guy on Instagram and I'm almost positive he does use real NOS webbing material. I have a couple gen MN surplus straps for my 9401 and while the actual premade surplus straps are very hard to find (one piece stitched elastic) the NOS webbing is still around. Military surplus stores in France sell it in musty old 50m rolls and such.

He claims the hardware is from real NOS parachute bags and while I have no way to authenticate that I don't have any reason to doubt it either.

Thanks for the mention Scott! Just to clarify.
I can confirm that the straps sold at @NDCSTRAPS on Instagram are the genuine 21mm NOS prestitched ones. Not made from webbing rolls. All hardware: loop and hook are NOS or vintage.
