If you put the brushed titanium pieces in boiling hot water /oxyclean, you can get it darker to match to gen better. That's what was done on my 172.

I've never heard of that technique for titanium,
So am I getting this right?Brushed titanium is placed in boiling water?

Put titanium into boiling water with oxyclean.

Does it need to be rubbed in or is it just placed in the boiling water/oxiclean & left alone?
Also does it leave the polished titanium alone?

Honestly I don't know the details as I bought the watch like this already done.. I'm pretty sure there is a thread on this though.
