JOP, I started with a clean watch and just let it go! Nothing special about the process except that perhaps I live very close to the Mediterranean sea... This patina probably looked more or less like this for a 1-2 days until it gradually became for uniform over the following weeks/months. I think that the most unique patina comes when the bronze transitions from clean to 'dirty'. This is somewhere in between about 35% I think.

Thanks! i used to see this effect on bronse plated parts but the colorisation only on parts that deal with high temperature ( drum brakes, etc.).

Very nice effect, enjoy it!
