Which factory makes the best replica? Is it Noob, ARF, VSF, or...? What would the experts recommend...?

I would also appreciate recommendations for a nice matching strap from black leather.

RWI's first rule is don't ask who makes the best submariner!
Some of us have been dedicating time to this hobby for years, you just need to read a few posts to understand which are the best reps right now. Try a little and read a few posts ... and if you have any doubts or don't understand something many of us will help you.

Well, I have seen other members post similar questions in other brand forums on this very site, and I have seen members (including myself, btw) gladly sharing their knowledge with the original poster. I don´t see the point of wasting time by arduously building the same knowledge from scratch again and again by different members if we can just share it. I find it more effective (and more fun) this way.

It is also my opinion that polite questions deserve polite replies, even if the question seems SO STUPID to those in the know.

Thank you, I have seen that thread. It makes sense what you write. However, my Very Trusted Dealer lists the ZF replica for exactly the same price as the VSF replica which could mean that it is just as worth buying. Hence my question.

If you don’t want to listen to the very kind members who have chosen to answer your question despite it violating forum rules, don’t ask for advice.

I’m sure the ZF Submariner is a quality rep since ZF is a quality factory, but if you had read the forum posts instead of asking others to provide you the benefit of their effort and time, you would already know why Clean and VSF are the consensus picks. Good luck, I’m sure you’ll love whatever watch you pick, even if it’s a ZF.

We all have our favorites, which is why Rule #1 on RWI is to not ask who makes the best Submariner, cause it's up to the individual to decide.

ZF is the best, absolutely. But, well.. ARF makes the best really. But get a CF if you can, its better. ZF is really good tho. But actually I feel very strongly about all options and certainly think it warrants further study. (But get the CF. No.. ARF, I mean.)
