What does the Ultimate have that the others don't... aside from being able to get the Stellita movement?

3135 best edition:
Noob factory, Bad movement, modified 2836 with different balance bridge. good luck finding parts for movement. also i believe dial will not fit std 2836 if movement goes bad, different dial feet
basically a v6 case. Nice pearl. wrong insert
Supposedly you can get with swiss 2836, but not confirmed.

Best edition:
got the 316f metal for the case, brighter steel than 316l. Bascially a V6 with brighter steel, can also get upgraded movements with this model. nice pearl. wrong insert

V6:
basic 25j noob model only available with clone 2836. nice pearl. wrong insert

V7:
also known as old eurotimez V5.9 only available with clone 2836. good insert(Trevor insert) but poor pearl. Best dial markers out of the lot (thin rimmed VS noobs Thick rimmed)

So, the question is, which to buy...

Lots of things to consider there..

how much do you want to spend,
how close to gen are you trying to get,

what are your level of modding skills, or are you willing to have someone mod it for you,

what are your expectations of the watch,

and also personal preference,
which watch do you like the best.

some like the noob bezel insert,
some like the trevor bezel insert.

Some like the v7 dial markers.
others are happy with the noob markers.

some are happy with the clone 2836,
others only want swiss.

Which one would be closest to gen? This will be my Daily use watch. So based on what you mention here... I would say the V7 and have the pearl changed?

I do like the Swiss movement though... more accurate for a daily wouldn't you say? A few seconds per day adds up...

Ahhhh i Think the asia movement serviced is good enough. I have a version 7 ordered by puretime and im gonna change the Pearl if it is not good enough. Close to gen ? Maybe close enough for the masses. Compared side by side you Will loose. Full modded and lots of cash spend you Can compete with the gen maybe if its prober made

So watch to watch on a V7 the pearl can be hit or miss? Is modding the pearl a DIY or is it complicated?

Whats funny is that you take the "Best Edition" and you add the Nickel Plated Rolex 3135 Look Movement and its $20 more than the Ultimate Edition with the same movement????

Not really, its not the exact same.... the second one has is made of 316F steel.

the reg 3135 model is 316L.

the gen is 904L. The 316F is supposed to look closer to the 904L.

Does it really?
im not sure as i have never held them side by side

the 316F is supposed to be a superior steel but there is a some controversy over that.

Trevor sell the V7 (although thats not what he calls it) and he offers a swiss 2836 as an option. its 268 with the swiss eta.

http://v.yupoo.com/photos/trevorwatch/albums/2427194/

If you go this route , its probably best that you contact him and ensure that it is a NEW swiss 2836. From what i understand there is NO guarantee that you will get a new swiss eta movement in the reps, its hit or miss. some do , some dont. Somtimes they are dry and need servicing right from the start.

Lots of variables to consider here

The 2836 version you can get SW240 mvmt... on the 3135 you can get ETA 2836-2 mvmt... with the 2836 version being $10 more. $428 vs $418... They are both 316F

Ahh so they are both 316f, good catch, i missed that.
so then whats the difference? the only thing i can see is it LOOKS like the 2836 version might have a better case back gasket, but cant be sure.

Edit: if you go noob id suggest going with the sellita movment over the swiss, because of all the problems people have reported about getting used or dry movements. Ive also heard of people getting dry clone 2836s, but if your paying the extra price for a particular movement your probably safer with the sellita.

I think I am going with the 2836 version...

So what mods do you suggest I do to make this near perfect?
