Hi Guys, I was just about to pull the trigger on a white dial Clean Factory Daytona.

To confuse matters, I got a couple of emails from dealers promoting the EWE version for considerably less.

I've tried to research the respective movements 4130 and 4131.....

In short, I want a 126500, thus a 4131 movement.

Which is the best watch and which is the best value purchase - Thanks in advance.

You are here since 2007, you should know which one to get, there is only one
There are enough threads in here which talk about it.

Ok.. Yes.. I’ve been into watches for over 30 years owning gens and reps. I made it clear that I was going to pull the trigger on a Clean but looking at the EWE as it looked to have the same specs?
Why does the Rep fraternity find it so hard to give an honest opinion rather than sarcastic or sly comments? I have a substantial car collection and naturally contribute on relevant forums and Facebook pages to help potential buyers. The standard comment here is just read up on the 4 million posts already submitted.
Type in EWE in the search engine and nothing comes up.. Who wants to pay $400 more for basically the same thing but if the experts here can clarify why the Clean is worth the extra money then fine, I buy that. It doesn’t cost anything to be helpful.

There's a reason why EWE has no threads here : simply put : it's not a big enough factory or well known enough factory to warrant any thread. From what I heard EWE is a very new factory so why chance it? If they were that good or that popular or well built I guarantee you there would be loads of advertisements or breakdowns of this model.

Clean is well known, has a thread with 30+ pages of discussion.

If you want a "cheaper" 126500 just go with the VSF 126500 with the SL-4801 movement.

With your other comment, To be quite honest with you, you have been here since 07, you have less than 30 posts or contribution to the forum and still ask basic questions like this. It rubs alot of people the wrong way. You take from the forum but have you contributed in any meaningful way? That's great that you contribute to the car forum - maybe you can contribute here instead.

If you wanted, you could have asked for pictures of the EWE, compared it to pictures of gen, and then made an evaluation and post for the forum. That would be much better.

Last of all, the EWE doesn't come with the 4131, it comes with the SL-4802 - the bastardized skeletonized "legal clone" of the 4130 movement. That's why it's $400 cheaper.

@MrBrock I am not an expert but If I were to buy a Daytona I will choose the one with a DD4130 Movement which is by far the best Daytona movement.

I have no experience to answer your question but i saw many great reviews for Clean.
What is the difference between the 4131 and the 4130?

The 126500 clean vsf and BTF look to have the same movement but clean is calling the one in their Daytona a sh4131 and the other two call theirs DD4131. Does anyone know if the clean Daytona 126500 movement is different?

VSF = DD4131
Clean = SH4131
BTF = DD4131

Note the direction of the beat adjustor and regulator arm on the SH4131 compared to the DD4131. Inward facing vs outward facing.

After reading the information on identifying replica movements about these movements the BT factory would be the only 126500 that I’d buy.
