Some people swear by DSN, some people swear by Hero. DSN is around $450 and Hero around $700. I have seen a couple of posts where people go back and forth on DSN and Hero and the end result is usually the same. They are both about the same, now that DSN has his new dial. They both do excellent work. Maybe Hero has a few tweaks on his 111 that are better than DSNs, but for an extra $250 I don't know if those minor tweaks are really worth it, in my eyes. The tweaks I am talking about include a flattened CG pin and more stiff CG lever, which can absolutely be done yourself for less than $250. Another tweak may be that Hero makes a SLIGHTLY better dial, but in the pictures of both, I can't tell the difference. There may be a difference, but like I said, can't really tell.
Again, this is my $.02 and if you want to spend the extra $250 for peace of mind to you, by all means go for it, but it would not be something I would do for a rep when there is another rep that is pretty much identical and is much much cheaper.
