Mate that is not unusual. Chieftang is sometimes a lot longer than that between runs. The issue here is not that but communication. Had there been some we would not be having this discussion now.


At any rate I have emailed Taka and requested he post in this thread so how about we give it a rest until he has had right of reply.

FineDD takes just a week to get double AR.. I think its matter of you are taking things easy or serious about it.. Yes, communication is important.

Previously I have a AR done by Taka for a month. And it is also I push him a little after a month before he respond and send back my watch. AR done but watch is faulty.. Never mind I fix it myself.

No I'm sorry but Finedd has direct access to an AR facility and can tag his stuff onto other peeps runs. For most, Taka included you must get enough work to make a run financially worthwhile. You pay for the run whether it be 1 or 30 crystals. There is a flat fee for the run and then a fee per crystal.

As I said the issue here is comms and I have asked Taka to address this ASAP.
Let us give him that chance please. You have made you point and it has been taken on board by the membership I'm sure. We are sorting this, leave it at that for now.

Meanwhile i have to agree with Omega88 in most points and of course with trailboss, when you are having jobs with some members here that are thousands of kilometers away, good communication is very important. I cant have the silence treatment or have to contact a mod to get an answer, that not good...

Its fully understandable that he has his job outside this forum and i personally respect that, but if you can't do properly your job in this forum, just don't do it. Its not fair, first for your customers and of course for your reputation... It's my first job with him as i had read many positive comments at the past, but i really have second thoughts about it now reading all that things...

I am leaving away the whole delay for 2-3 months aside because communication is far more important but even for that you should inform the customers that 2-6 weeks as you are claiming may not be enough. I dont mind waiting a little bit more, but i would like to know that from the beggining.

Summing up, no communication and no good service (according to other members complains here) show no respect to the customer and are harming your image to the forum to the people who have works with you at the moment and of course giving seconds thoughts to future customers.

Just to add on to this..Taka has always delivered on his products to me..as mojo has said and i can vouch for it, Taka has been travellng for extended periods(i.e not anywhere near his workbench) so there's bound to be delays..

I am also waiting on a crystal from him but it's all about patience in this game..

His AR process is totally different then fine dd. 2 - 3 month is normal, same as chief.

And if you are into modding, do not expect that it turns out everytime as you want. Then it is better to buy a gen.

In his website stated 2-6 weeks for all service( AR or PVC coating). How the hell
Suddenly turn in 2-3 months is normal? If in his website stated 2-3 months then its our fault to push him but is that the case? And the proble is his non reply and irresonsible attitude? Do we except instant response, of cos that's too much but a 48hrs limit I think is fair if he is around. And in many cases, he is around and fail to response. Paparas case is a good example.

Lastly, none of the members concern with regards to modding and expect too much. I want a double AR job, and expect a double AR job. Is that too difficult? I don't know why u mention that? Does

You may have not followed the thread, some people complaint about the work and want to send stuff back, this is why I MENTIONED it.

Guys lets not jump into fast conclusions, especially when we havent heard taka's side.

First of all none accused him for scam. All the time i am here never heatd a bad thing about him, this the first time this is happening.

Lets stick to what really happened.

Delay 2-3 months. Ok i can live with it, thats the game...

People complaining about quality if received items. Thats bothers me...

No communication, no respone to mails. That is unacceptable and priority number one...

But really lets wait for taka and his side of the story. I think everyone gave his situation and everyone made an image of what is happening...

Omega , relax dude . If you paid and dint get what you want , it'd be ok to say whatever you want about taka , but fact is , no matter how long it takes for ar and dlc from 2geek . U pay only when he's ready to ship out . So all that's lost is time and lack of communication due to work commitments for his case . By the way , did you paid for the crystals he ar single side instead of double side like you ask him to ?

I just hope paparas and other guys can have their case/mod settle quickly. Hope Taka can improve his service/attitude and principle of working..

Yeah, not taking sides...but AR is a two/three month process. Always has been with Chief, VAC (who uses Chief), Taka etc...

There have been times where people have looked into other sources of AR jobs for what we want, and most have not panned out or have never got off the ground.

Good luck TS. I hear you. I had many watch cases and crystals having AR done over a year ago with him, but he got the job done in about 2 months time, shipped back with crystals in place, and they looked great.

But that was nearly 18 months ago...so, mileage may vary with modders, especially the overseas one.

And lastly TS, not to be a d-bag. But if you think you can find a better way/source of getting AR done to the standards people want, can make money off it, and be reliable...go for it. People have tried, and the sources we have now are as good as it gets. But have at it man! It is a well needed mod for many people.

Sent him my TW sub mid oct 2011 for crystal swap, he said should be done in a week. Item received 1st week of nov. Zero communication since after several emails about the crystal swap.

Thing is, his address is only 30mins away from me. :/
