I get your concern about WhatsApp groups selling phone number data. It’s frustrating and a bit unsettling when privacy feels compromised. If you're looking for a way to avoid this issue, consider using a temporary number for these activities. It can help keep your info safe and out of unwanted hands. Temporary numbers are great for signing up for services or groups where you don't want to share your number. It’s like having an extra layer of protection for your privacy.

I was in the EU Stock Whatsapp Group for a short time, now I was pulled in a Whatsappgroup called "Canal Street" where about 390 members where pulled in based on data of admin. Admin claims that he has the italian stock of SEAD and that he gave him our numbers.

But since lot of the group did not have contact even with Sead, but all are in Rep Group of @mrmckhansi all are wondering why their phone numbers are shown or given away?

WTF is going on? If I wanted my phone number on the internet I could post it by myself!
How i can order watch?

That's a solid tip about using temporary numbers for WhatsApp groups or similar situations. I’ve started doing the same for things like online registrations and groups I don’t fully trust. It’s a great way to keep your personal number safe from being circulated or sold. But be careful with reverifications because there is always high risk to lose the initial phone number. An old school chum of mine once registered on X via a similar service but in a month couldn't receive another verification code and lost his account.

Important safety tip! yes, don't do this for services that use your phone number to authenticate you in the future. Services such as Twitter/FB or your bank etc are not going to sell your phone number without permission anyway, that kind of thing costs them millions in fines but dodgy WA groups are another matter.

Well, I'm sorry but I'm gonna have to side with OP . But I think that's a cultural thing. We "Western folks" don't have "the everything app" in the West, and we're grateful for not having that carp.

Look, I've been purchasing reps since 2008 and into crypto since 2010 and believe it or not, rep sellers had actual websites back then, and not stupid garbage WhatAspp groups.

Here's my opinion : this new "ordering from group app thing" is pathetic and whoever peddles it needs to shamed and bullied into stopping this madness. Nobody wants it.

Constraining your customers to use those stupid fucking mobile apps that requires your +cellphonenumber is ridiculous and an absolute OpSec nightmare.
You guys run global businesses, so please, own up to it.
You have no idea how bad shit could get for some people, in some countries, because of yourcarelessness.

I'm talking prison time, yet they don't seem to care and won't even bother to create proper websites anymore.

Obviously, I'm salty and rightfully so.

Frankly, even before Pavel got arrested, Telegram had been known to be a honeypot since the mid 2010's and you just can't create an account on WhatsApp either without a phone number, which WILL eventually be tied to your actual identity, worst case scenario.

Even using something like https://sms4sats.com/ to pay with mixed Bitcoins for a fake temporary number won't even get you out of trouble because even them won't even handle whatsapp requests since Zuck is such an asshole about it. One individual = One number. Unless you're renting a SIM card, there's no workaround, and believe me, I tried every single shadiest workarounds. A lot.
Telegram you could probably get away with a fake number, but even still, it's terrible opsec and a stupid honeypot.

Using both of those services (Telegram / WhatsApp) basically equates to doxxing yourself anywhere down the road. Which is absolutely insane.

If you guys want, I can cook some website that will actually let you pay with Monero, stabilized with USDT, which would let your customers keeep their privacy, while neutralizing crypto-related market price fluctuations. If I can do that, you should too.

Whatever, I'm a tech privacy freak, granted, not everyone is, but please. You really need to up your game in that matter. You won't make anymore sales when all of your customers are behind bars.

Right now ? It sucks and it needs to be fixed.

If you don't, I will, and if I don't, somebody else will.
