For import taxes, I've ordered from online retailers and various forums for over 8 years, I've only been taxed once by DHL. Usually, private retailers under-declare the value of shipments even if your purchase exceeds
$5,000. Import taxes usually apply to products that have resale value in their home countries. (Electronics, branded goods)
