Thanks for the response. I decided not to get them but instead looking to get the new 2013 black and blue GMT IIc instead. Just trying to source the best model now. Any thoughts?

Well.

The first one is the traditional 16710, non ceramic GMT Master 2, the classic one.

The second one is a "fantasy" Ceramic GMT Master 2. Fantasy, because it has not been put into production by Rolex, and there is no genuine of this model.

Some differences, the 16710's case is less thick than the Ceramic, the ceramic has polished mid-links in the bracelet, while the 16710 has a completely brushed bracelet. The Clasp on both also differ, the GMT Ceramic has a new clasp, while the 16710 has a normal, non-diver classic clasp.

All the differences can be read here:

Hope I helped a bit. :)

That was of great help. Thank you so much. What are your thoughts on the new GMT IIC black and blue? I placed my order for that instead. It's a BP FACTORY watch and I'm just wait for the QC pics to come through. Hopefully with the intention of modding it when I get it.

Personally, I like it. And BP is a great maker.
