Careful.....once you go Pam you NEVER go back!

Enter a whole new addiction.

Take Coldi's advice and go for the 005. If you can find one.

I disagree. Everyone told me that. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my 318, and am addicted to buying straps for it. But I see no reason to buy more, because they all look the same to me . There are differences, I know, but they are very subtle. Not enough that you can notice them from far away. They are very classy watches, and are perfect for the business world. I have a hard time wearing some of my Breitlings with a suit. I also play a lot of golf, and the PAM is perfect for those occasions. I do want to get myself an 47MM PAM. Maybe one of you with more knowledge can suggest which one is best. :)

I totally skipped a huge pam phase and went straight for the gusto.

Dude it IS all I know. Selling off the 177L to a member (who's raising funds as we speak) cause the 055C is taking its place! I just know ill never wear that 177 if there's another titanium pam sitting there with a pre-a dial in it!

Vintage is the way to go.

You have the right to disagree. Panerai is a love/hate thing, a brand I'd never heard of 12 months ago!

I found this place looking for a Omega PO and accidently stumbled on the Pams. Initial thoughts...UGLY, but that's been covered over and over again. Panerai is a grower. Granted, they look similar, but they're are all unique.

A 005 is next on my shopping list and I guarantee the missus will never know I've got a new watch. If she does I'll just tell her it's on a new strap. Pam's are so easily expained away if you have a partner who's fed up with your rep addiction. :)

When I came here I didn't "get it" at all. I eventually bought a 111h from Robert and got hooked. I have more Pams in my meager collection than any other brand.
I wish I still had my 341 Egi that I sold to CBR. He gave me the option to buy it back after he modded it, but I couldn't afford it! :p

Well, I didn´t get it either with the PAM addiction at first.
But 1 year later on this site and a zillion awesome PAM pictures with sandwich dials, sausage numbers, incredible vintage projects, polished cases and sexy straps and more opinions than one could possibly imagine and PAM lovers like our favourite vintage junkie COLDI made me take the plunge so a 177M is pre-ordered.
If I like that one, there might be a follow-up with the 005 and if I still like PAM´s there WILL be a hunt for a incredible vintage PAM, the options are endless so to speak haha!

I remember first time I saw a PAM many years ago during one of my trips in Italy, first thought, "my god, what´s up with these cheesy oversized fugly watches and Italians???
Do they have bad eye sight judging from the giant numbers on the dial?"
Actually thought they were some cheap-ass beach-seller knockoffs of some other amazingly big ugly watch :p (lots of people wearing the 60mm or horrible reps at that time..)

Now I know better and certainly can appreciate their simplicity and small variations.

Now a silly big watch, shot on a silly big man that almost can´t pull it off either: Arnie wearing a PAM 341 (and yea it´s 60mm) ((From Hodinkee))
