Hi Guys,

What 'Watch Brand' best represents the 'Car Brand' ?

Based on all the forums we all know a lot about the Brand Power of Watches but if you had to apply a watch brand to the 'best of best' affordable luxury car brands what would you allocate ?

Here is my list of watches and cars -

Rolls Royce = PATEK P
Lamborghini = AP
Bentley = JLC
Ferrari = Hublot
Porsche = Rolex
Mercedes = Frank M
BMW = Breitling
AUDI = IWC

I would be interested to hear others thoughts in debate ?

When I see thread like this I always feel like ranting.
In my country,
Patek can match with mid tier Toyota no problem.

Gen Patek with Gen Toyata.
Rolex with public train/buses.
That is how expensive cars are over here.

you're right. cars in Asia are really expensive..

I was in India last summer and an S class merc can cost upwards of 100 lakhs.. which in USD is about $200k... and I'm not even talking about the S63 or 65..an S550.

I've owned high end AMGs, and now only have fully restored classic Merc Benz /8's (MB guys will know what /8 means, currently 68/71/73/and 78 wife drives a late model E class) and Rolex always looks good in them all! My wife looks good no matter what she wears or drives, I'm the ugly husband one making up for it with a sexy wife and sexy watches!

Agreed. Cars in any South East Asian countries are damn expensive. Import duties alone will kill you.

With that said, Rolex is definitely Mercedes Benz in Asia.

Slightly off-topic but I think it's an interesting sight:

From what I have seen here in Singapore, most lambo owners (mid 30s and above) are usually dressed in normal t-shirts, shorts and flip-flops but sports a Richard Mille on their wrist :)

Ferrari owners (early 40s above) here are more 'exotic' so to speak with their watches, sporting brands like MB&F

A couple Rolls Royce owners (usually in their mid 40s above) here sport very pricey bejewelled watches like the million-dollar AP ROO tourbillon, baguette cartiers, etc

AMG/M owners are an interesting bunch, most I have met do not even wear a watch!
