My frirst rep was purchased on the orignal forum, The predisesor to RWG,RWC, RWI. It was in 2001 on the Replica Watch Collector Club RWCC forum. From FDaytona, it was a white mother of pearl asian auto daytona, $150 bucks used. I think the only dealer that was around back then was maybe river, and my friend watchlover_david. Who no longer sells reps. The watch lasted about a year before i dropped it and smashed the crystal.
I was 17, and since then I have really enjoyed what this at first hobby has given me. Last year it brought me to guangzhou china. This hobby has turned me on to producing my own watches and importing other products from asia. And now I sell genuine watches. Go figure.
I guess it was a logical start for a modest kid from buffalo.

My first rep was an Omega (not sure what model it was). Bought it when I was in the Rep mall in SZ, China a few years back. I knew nothing about watches at the time and the only reason I bought it was because I thought it looked classis and it was only about USD$30. 8)
my first rep was also in mexico, I left puerto penasco extremely hung over with a horseshoe crab sting, a sunburn, and a cheap all gold quatz cartier tank for $20. from the boards it was a UPO from Andew, still my daily beater

My 1st rep purchase was from a street vendor on Wisconsin street in Georgetown, in Washington D.C., in 1987. I bought a Rolli Day/Date a Patek and a Gucci watch for $20.00/each. They were Quartz and the damn things ran for almost 2 years. My 1st quality rep was a Breitling Ti Chrono Avenger, 7750 b1 from a guy in Ireland on Ioffer for $275.00. That was in June of 2006, just before I found RWI. Then I bought my Pam 187 from EddieLee.

My good buddy got a sweet job on Wall Street, came home one night with a sweet Rolex Day Date. After a few hours, I noticed green blotches on his arm under the wristband. I busted him right then! He got me a sweet two tone DayDate the next day...I look at some of the reps I have ownded since then and laugh when I pull the first one out of the mothballs!

First replica was on the original RWG about 3 years ago. I purchase a silver dial Mont Blanc Timewalker chrono. I was so excited to have found a replica forum I could trust and I made a purchase from the sales section for like $90 dollars. It was the faux chrono version and I already knew I wanted something better before I got it in the mail. Thus began this addiction I have today.
Canal Street in the eighties, a Movado museum rep, so bad, the "crystal" was held to the case using 4 pieces of double sided tape! On the same trip I got my wife a Gucci rep with the red/green dial, quartz movement that is actually still working today. A couple of years later a friend mailed me a brochure from a place in Texas selling Rolex reps mail order. I bought a couple of quartz reps from them, complete crap. About a month later they were using my credit card in California for hotel rooms and theatre tickets. Boy have we come a long way.
