It was pure luck. I ran across it by chance, at DHGate. The seller told me that it comes from a "new small factory", and that it had a 2824, but nothing else. He has since stopped selling on DHG.
I was sceptical but figured that, at the price they were selling it, I couldn't lose too much. Once I got it, I trashed the original strap and added a genuine stingray strap, and am very happy with the result.
Classy strap! Classy watch!

How are you finding the quality? I'm possibly interested in buying one myself but the price is really hefty.
Quality is very good -- the rep strap is junk, but the watch is awesome. Worth it 100%.
