Looking to smoothen a couple rough edges on a new piece. Do you guys use really fine sandpaper, emory cloth, buffing pad? Just a couple corners and inside edges on the bracelet are a little sharp.

Fine sandpaper..... Silicone Carbide, black finishing paper, 1000 grit works for me.

on a stainless rollie type bracelet?.... get one of those erasable pens...
The pen eraser does wonders on cleaning up bracelet edges... test it on a spare link or hidden area and you'll see these things work wonders on taking the rough spots of bracelets.

I haven't tried to "rebrush" any metal with an eraser yet... but I'm thinking about it... have a pan buckle and a spare sub bracelet that I'm pondering sacrificing in the sake of learning.

See my post above... the erasable pen eraser works wonders... try it out on a spare link or something.. the sharp edge on the inside of the bracelet will quicly disappear.

This is the gritty type eraser right? Almost coarse, and usually white, compared to the smoother red pencil erasers? I think I've got a couple in the office here somewhere, I'll see how they do. Thx.

Slightly gritty yes... white or greyish in colour.... it'll give a slightly brushed look, fine for edges on inside of a bracelet. To match the high polish on a SS bracelet or case would then require a bit of polishing...

I wouldn't go over an entire watch or the "public" sides of a bracelet or case with one... but the inside edges... no problems.

there is some cool stuff called pumice stone. Its used for taking the burrs off ski edges and such, its a really soft rock that crumbles.
