Now I'm jealous, the 993 is legendary. Went Italian eh? What model?

The 993, to me, was like slipping on a fine leather shoe! I was fortunate enough to buy a few brand new, the last being a '98 C2S ... admittedly let a little pee out when I took delivery of that car.

I bough a new Ghibli SQ4 about 6 months ago. Really a fun car, has some quirks being a first gen design, but certainly will never, ever have the personality of an air-cooled!! Might not be a fair comparison given the 20yr gap in technology, but anyone that has seat time in any pre-99 911 would completely understand ...

To stay in the spirit of the thread, I'm currently wearing my late '80s gen Stainless Datejust, jubilee bracelet with black stick dial. Sorry no pic as I am traveling this week and have yet to post any pics ... anywhere!!

Edit: first pic ever attempted with crappy iPhone 6:

Same watch different background.
SubdayExpress, the Ghibli Quattroporte is a beautiful car but yes very much a different animal compared to the 993. I love the analog feel and experience of driving the old oil cooled 911s... Nice Datejust!

PaulyWalnuts great Tudor Sub!! I love the dial and hands in contrast to the Rollie's.

My father bought me that Datejust when I graduated high school in 1989. He also gave me the Datejust his parents gave him when he graduated. When my son graduates, I will pass my Datejust and my father's to him as well - a tradition that hopefully occur for many generations to come.

That is awesome! I love stories like that, especially when nobody had to smuggle the watch alá Bruce Willis' dad in Pulp Fiction  if I have kids one day I'll definitely have some cool stuff to pass
down. DVNE maybe you should keep your Datejust
