You have a big problem with your sels buddy...it should be out of the lugs....they are recessed more than sub c sels...it’s wrong!!!

I finally just got my watch today. In all honesty, my first impressions were so-so. But then I wore the watch today for work, and under light, this baby shines like a star.
If anyone was like me and was unsure about the bezel and how it shines, it shines 95% as much as a gen bezel. It even plays with the light as gen would.
The hour markers are well polished, as it plays with light. It flickers like a star.
The bracelet is a bit sharp compared to gen, but it is just as smooth when playing with the links. Theres even the latch that articulates up when you open the bracelet.
Stock crystal is pretty dang decent but not as good as prof or gen.
Absolute zero play in the SEL.
Overall this is a pretty good watch out of the box and if youre just an average rep watch consumer and dont plan on modding it, it fills the role for a cheap but not so cheap datejust

Stock BP SD modded SEL, bent click spring to tighten bezel a bit, changed Diver extension link (stock one was too loose)

I know ... and :
- the blue on the dial is not dark enough
- the date seats too high on the date window
- the whole watch (bracelet + case) needs a rebrush session
I know I should take care of all that and it would not cost $$$ as I can do all the work by myself and a better dial woudn't be that expensive.
But at the moment I already have too much mod work on the bench and I wear it rarely because of its size on my chicken wrist.
So I wear it as it is ... with real pleasure.
It keeps very good time, have a really correct power reserve (about 34 hours) and I have waterproofed it so I can swim with it and, to be honest, I like it very much despite the flaws.
Plus considering the price I paid for that big baby ... about USD90 (change was 75€) ... I think it's a VERY good watch and a bang for the buck.
PS : I take note of your remark and I'll work on the SELs sitting at the least ... the rest will wait for a while

My second Rep of all, thanks to @yllekp who was kind enough to sell it to me (my first one was a very nice YM Everrose that I've been stupid enough to sell).
I've just read some of the the PM I had with yllekp and it "sounds" crasy.
It was just a year ago (november 2016) and ... I quote myself : "2 - never replaced a 21J so do you think it will be very difficult if I chose to do it (I am quite handy)"
It was my first steps in the Rep world and I had never touched an Asian movement ... what a noob I was :baby2:
Today I'm proud to build my own watches, drill the lugs, mod the rehauts, rework cases, design and build dials from scratch, and I love that :cheese:
