Ha ha thanks. Yeah, no smell with the perlon. Actually the rubber strap didn't smell too strong, but they black didn't mesh too well with the blue dial

Hey, Godfather. It was your Aquanaut thread that inspired me to get it actually. And I made sure to check in that thread that it was indeed a fantasy. I just wanted a blue dial in my collection (and might have to get the 5711 in blue too soon). None of my friends have probably heard of PP and nobody would believe I could afford a $20k watch on a student budget lol, so not really a problem that it's a fantasy.
Where did you get your perlon strap? What size is it? I've got mine on a 20mm and it seems to fit quite nicely even though the lugs are 21mm
