They are beautiful pieces the SMP's
That one came from the US, no problem. I was going to build a franken but lots of pieces were not coming together, when this one came up I PM'd as soon as I saw it :)

It has a great history too.

Nothing beats the fun in building a Seamaster. The challenging thing is keeping the costs to a point where you're not in genuine territory. Over the years I've built a ton of Frankenstein's.

Here are a few I built over the years and sold:

This one was my ultimate favourite build:

May need to go gen on this one day. Although having two Omegas in my watch box these days is "enough".

All weekend long

Looking great Pap, is that gen? Only thing that makes me question it is the AR on the crystal. Appears to be stronger than what you would find on a factory watch, but could be the picture and lighting.

Wow thank you for sharing those beautiful pieces.

Lmao on the cost of a build, I am €600 in already and I still do not have the case and movement.

While I am at it does anyone know if the BP SMPc lugs will accommodate a gen bracelet. Although I think my current franken is based on the SMPc but the lug holes are very deep and the lugs are thicker compared to a 2531 gen. Maybe some serious spring bar bending required.

i have a gen non-ceramic bracelet on an SMPc case and it fits nice and tight, tho i dont have gen springbars so i cant comment if they will work in case that is important to you.

no worries mate, and i just went and looked at mine. i have somewhat thick bars on it and they are not stressed/bent but it fits tight, so cheap/thin bars might be a bit loose. gen bars will prob work from eyeballing it if you want to go that route...just be sure to get the correct length ;)

and FWIW, on my 42mm 2500 PO franken with the gen bracelet, those bars are under some stress and are a son of a bitch to install!

Franken, with all gen parts except the case and the movement.

Crystal had an AR treatment from takashi back then...

And for my bad luck i just lost on of the pushers of my bracelet...:cry2:

Just as I suspected! Looks great Pap, plays the part perfectly.

[emoji102] what do you mean you lost one of the pushers on your bracelet? As in your clasp?
