I think it was a good price for a 2221.80. They go for $1500+

I purposely went quartz since I prefer the convenience and lower cost for servicing over the long term.

And I prefer the newer applied markers, red Seamaster logo, and better lume of this over the older painted markers. Matter of preference. Oh yea, plus there's this case back!

I wouldn't know a Gen from a Rep but I do know that I like it.

I think you will learn quick after hanging around here for a while. Unfortunately there aren't really any great reps of SMPs so after seeing a few reps and gens you'll see the differences.
