Its a funny thing,I was at my sisters wedding in Vegas and was walking through the lobby at the Belagio and saw the Panerai Boutique and thought what type of watches are these I was not sure if I liked them or not and there was many different types and cost a fortune but after some years they work there way into your life.I love dive watches and these sort of fit the bill but while keeping them on beautiful croc straps they suit as you grow a little older, the best of both worlds. And most people have no idea what they are.

there is something so pure and understated about actually owning a panerai
I never quite liked them before but now I have 4 and more on the way
you will never be able to truly understand it's beauty until it goes on your wrist

It seems that most people here didn't like Panerais in the beginning and only started to love them once they had one. For me it's the opposite, I never cared much about watches all together until I saw a Panerai... They are indeed so pure and understated (I prefer the base dials), they are perfect in their simplicity.

I dont like PAM's, they are not addictive. It's all gobbledegook.

I bought my first (a 111N) because everyone on here was going on about how good it was.
I thought, well, I'll have a look.
Got it, wore it constantly for a few months at the exepense of all my other watches, but then thought 'no, I don't understand all the hype'
So I bought a 196 just to be sure.
Wore that for a few months non stop. Couldn't get the hype, so bought a 113. Wore that for 6 months, quite liked it, but had to buy a 162 to try a panda dial version. Wore that for several months, rotating with the other Pams, and realised, of course, that I didn't get it bacause I hadn't tried a Radiomir.
So bought a 288k. Have been wearing that for many many months, and have the new 441 on the way, with a ceramic bracelet. Also thinking of getting the 177, and maybe the 389, and obviously have to get the 346, and maybe the .....................

Pams are unique, classy, and rugged all at the same time. Another reason they are so popular? One word SLY. I'm a fan!

PAM: it is harsh battle gear, but modern and elegant. A killing machine with a touch of class.

PAM's are attractive because they are manly, elegant, military background, goes with everyday clothing without everybody eye-ball'ing your watch ( low-key except for the connoisseurs of pam / risti's ) And one thing I can't stress enough is, the amazing amount of different watch straps out there.. ( some people like myself have almost a wardrobe of straps of their watches ) essentially it's a sickness :) But, it's not for everyone. A lot of my friends just buy like Rolly Sub, GMT Master or an AP and they are done. but being a risti of even Rep is almost a passion :)
