Hey guys,

This project was about 3 months in the making but I finally got all the parts together for the build. There are only a few pictures of the gen 1675 pan am floating around - some from John Goldbergers book "100 superlative Rolex" and the others from a vintage Rolex meet up from a couple years ago of what appears to be the same watch - so I guess we are lead to believe there is only 1 in existence thats been confirmed. Well now there are two [emoji13] I have my own sources for parts so I have listed them as my own parts below. The rest are gen Rolex [emoji1317] I love wearing leather straps but ended up finding a stunning condition first series big logo folded jubilee so it's on there as well.

Specs

TheSociety 1675 PCG case
TheSociety 1675 PanAm dial
Gen Rolex GMT Cal 1575
Gen Rolex GMT handset

Gen Rolex 5.6mm crown / tube / stem
Gen Rolex bezel assembly
Gen Rolex Tropics 116 crystal
Gen Rolex 6251H big logo jubilee

What time period is this build from -67ish?

Thanks brother! I had it stamped for 59 - 60 - with the caseback being from 1960. The reason is because pan am had some 6542 done but only one 1675 ever surfaced so I figure it would be close to the beginning of the 1675 reference (1959). Also, the gen is a chapter ring dial with Pointed Crown Guard which should be from 1959 to about 1964/1965.

The extremely difficult part about a GMT build no one knows - installing hands in such tight compact stack with very little tolerance - see how close the GMT hand comes to hitting the lume!

I've always suspected that about the 6542s. (Just remembered this is a 1675 :)) Even on the gens it looks like the gmt hand is set at an angle to miss the Lume. Nothing worse than a tight hand stack. One of my frankens has one and it takes FOREVER to get them just right.

Beautiful watch!
