Breitling, to me, are watches for the working man. Built tough and used rough.
Yes I love the Navitimer for its classic design which others try to imitate. The benchmark Breitling and also the most recognised. Not ostentatious due to the 'lack' of a full steel bezel.
I love the Professional range for its vesatility - frequently I NEED to check other timezones and use chronos and alarms. Not many other Swiss brands use a quartz movt similar to the Cal.78. Its unbeatable as a tool watch. Accurate as hell to COSC standard, too.
Then theres the Windrider range - the Chronomat. You can't say its not classy and masculine. On a par with a Panerai for sophistication.
Aeromarine - love the Avenger series. Tough as old nails. Use it to open cans when you're stranded on a desert island!
Sadly, the reps aren't all as good!
Admittedly, I'm not a fan of the Bentley series or of Bling. Any Bling whatsoever. So no comment.
I have more Breitlings (gen & rep) than any other brand in my collection, then its Omega as the next dominant brand. Breitling have lately jumped on the Bling Bandwagon, creating these showy timepieces like everyone else. Traditionally, their designs are for men....or butch women. They dont normally feature "fashionable" or "feminine" design in their line-up.
Compare that with Omega, Rolex, TAG Heuer, Cartier, etc etc - they like to sign up the most 'glamorous' A-listers for publicity of their lovely wrist jewellery. My point is, Breitling is no-nonsense and functional...it'd hate them to be anything else!
