Hi.
I've looked through the faq and search both this forum and internet for relevant explanation of the abbrivation "QC" pics .
And can't find something relevant.

Some guy said he generally don't like QC pics....
Can someone explain?

/Andy

QC = Quality Control

Some dealers will send pics of the watch they intend to send you so you can check for faults before shipping.

ok, thanks.
Can't understand though why anyone wouldn't like QC pics rather then staged and photoshopped pics.

But thanx again for a quick reply :)

He likely meant he Doesn't like to post them in a thread to ask for help seeing issues. It has been a back and forth debate as different people think QC pictures have different purposes.

Most people want to at least see the QC pictures themselves.

Yeah, QC pics are for you to check that there aren't any obvious problems with the watch before it is shipped. It's not meant to be about checking the accuracy of the replication. In fact, many people here tend to frown upon members posting QC photos on the forum blindly asking for feedback (e.g.: "hey guys, is this a good rep? Should I buy it??").

Of course, QC photos can also help dealers cover their asses if you get the watch and there's something you missed when you were shown the pictures. And generally, dealers don't like you sharing your QC pics with other people. Here's what one dealer (not a TD here) tells his customers when sending QC pics:

Please do not post these pics at the forums. You are bound to get irrelevant and fabricated comments which will hinder this transaction between us thereby causing delay in the despatched of the package.. It also affects our relationship. [...] Since we send photos of FRONT, BACK and CLASP/BRACELET view, there will be no further claims for customers for any missing bezel/caseback screws or loose clasp issues, and slight discrepancies from our website pics, Dial alignment, physical quality issues etc.... as we have stepped up on the QC assurance to the highest possible level. If you do have issues of missing parts after wearing a while, we can help you at a cost.

I now only post if I see something that looks wrong, like a misaligned bezel and I need someone elses's eyes to see if I am going crazy.

The threads people get mad about are. "here are the pics, tell me what is wrong or different from gen"

Hi everyone... I'm new to the form and wanted to ask a question, but haven't yet found how to start a thread, But this one is relevant to my question so I'll ask here.
I'm waiting on delivery of a noob V10 116610LV. The dealer sent me QC/ pics of the watch I was getting, which all looked good from what you can tell in a non-macro picture. One pic had the Plastic wrap and stickers still on the face.... The standard noob SUPER - 5 Stars - N904L. A second sticker on the lower half of the face had a Crown. Typically on other V10's I've seen the SUPER sticker, but where my crown sticker is the others I have seen had a red colored A sticker. Should the fact that mine has a crown vs an A have been a red flag? If not what's the difference between the A stickered and the Crown stickered examples? BTW, I opted for the 3135 movement. Could that be what the crown is about?

If you get a Noob with the golden crown sticker, it means you’ve won an invitation to go on the Noob factory tour and meet Noob’s founder, Rilly Ronka.

You’ll also get to see all the very small Noob workers producing the watches. They’re oompa-loompas, not children. Honest.

So what your telling me is that 1) thats not a Noob V10 and 2) My DHgate seller either sold me a Gen or a $25 piece of crap for $365 ? BTW the seller = Sport0028, sellers feedback rating= 99.5% positive, This item sold= 61 pieces with 18, 5 star customer reviews (this info added to try to convince myself I didn't get ripped off)
Item is supposed to arrive this Thursday. I'll post macro shots inside and out when I get it.

YellowFin, If your asking me "@TO: did you use your mail address as user name?" I did not. Why you ask?

Welcome to RWI, Why did you buy a watch on DHGate instead of our Trusted Dealers (aka TD's)? Our TD's are prequalified. That is why they are called TRUSTED Dealers. Our TD's don't show you watches that are still wrapped up. I recently bought 3 watches from DHGate knowing they will be crap. They will be used for "weekend beaters" that I don't care about.

I bought the watch before I was a form member (just registered yesterday). Had I been a member when I bought the watch 2 weeks ago, I would have looked at forum TD's. In my defense, when looking on DHgate I did reject sellers with less than 99% seller feedback.

I think the closest to a conclusion that can be drawn from the comments so far is, "Oh dear. This may not end well." No one has said it isn't a Noob v10. It might be a Noob v10. Or it could be a pile of crap disguised by Noob stickers. My money is leaning heavily towards the latter right now though. The minute ticks and text dial printing look too bold. The metal surrounds of the indices look crude. The pearl looks blobby. The lugs look too short and fat.

But this could all be bollocks, caused by the bad pic of a watch covered in plastic. Some better pics would help to confirm it.

Yellowfin was asking the OP, who posted his question in 2012...

That's right, I would never by a watch from DHGate. I've never had any issues with any of the TDs listed on this forum.
