Hi everyone. I'm having an issue with regards to a different watch from the qc photos to the one I recieved. My td has asked what was the stk? But I don't know what that means. To save the embarrassment of asking him I'd thought I'd ask here.

I'm far from sure, but I think it refers to the type of markers on the dial. Stk = Stick markers?

Since you received a different watch then what was shown to you in QC maybe the TD wants to verify the stock number on his site you ordered it from.
Sounds like the TD gave shipping the wrong watch obviously lol. They did show the watch you wanted in QC and you gave the GL to ship but oops a mix up. Did you at least get the same model from the same brand?.
I believe you are correct. On the bag it had "stk - 16" so I'm assuming that's how they code the stock. I did recieve the same model. But it had a different numbered sticker on the back. It was a vsf 116610. The issue is the top left sel over laps the lug. It's my first rolex super rep and I don't want to have something that's going to bother me eveytime I wear it. He's offered to exchange it. So hopefully I can get the original watch from my qc photos. Thanks for the help.
Ok let me get this straight then. Did you order the VSF 116610 and when it arrived and it wasn't the same one they showed you in QC?.

Yes i did and it wasn't the one in the qc. I'm returning it to the UK so I should be fine. I have heard of the issues of returning to China so I wouldn't do that. I'd probably try to resolve it another way if that was the case. You probably can guess who the td is and I've used him several times before and never had an issue. We're in the process of resolving it so hopefully we'll get it sorted. He's always been quick to respond and has already offered to take it back and accepted fault.
Thats the issue with the sel overlapping the lug if you're interested.
That's good know you can easily ship it back to the UK and not worry about Chinese customs seizing it. The SEL doesn't look that bad even magnified 50X but you are the one that is paying, wearing and have to live with it. Hope the Sub comes quickly and you get to enjoy it for many years.

Did you make sure this isn't just dirt that got stuck on the edge of the sticker? Not saying it is, but you wouldn't believe how "misleading" the stickers can be in regard to perceived blemishes, flaws or defects.
I once had a watch in QC (also from Sead) that I thought it surely must have had scratch marks. Turned out, it was just an optical illusion caused by sticker foil (as stated by him)...

Just an FYI, even genuine Rolex do not have the end links perfectly aligned with the lugs. If everything else is fine with it, I personally would not go through the hassle and headache.
My humble opinion: It's about time the TDs put a damper on those QC shenanigans from the Reddit crowd.
Otherwise, reps will eventually end up costing more than gens (which, if you really think about it, is the logical consequence if reps have to be more perfect & less flawed than the real thing).
