This was a great post.
I am 45 and a technology manager in London working for a planning consultancy, in the past worked for the biggest US architecture firms. Interior designer by education, technologist to pay the mortgage, hobbies include sports cars, collecting watches and ian fleming first editions. collecting gens was proving expensive so i am really pleased to have found RWI, new to this site and awaiting my first true rep, then I will throw away all my crap fakes bought in NY. If you think collecting reps is expensive try collecting first editions!

I am 41 and play the part of a retired millionare in a B movie that plays over and over inside my head. Problem is, I don't have any money so it takes a pretty good actor to pull it off. Problem with that is, I suck at acting. That's why it's a B movie. ;)

Director of Sales/VP Marketing/Co-Owner (Offical Titles) for a small family owned manufacturing/importing company. Fix the machines, Push the Broom, Clean the Toilets, Fill the Coke Machine, Answer the Phones, Take out The Trash and whatever else is needed. Biz is steady but down. Livin the dream for peanut pay. I owe, I owe it's off to work I go. I wish I could stick it to the man sometimes, but that would be pretty selfish of me. :)

36; On the board of directors of my Home Owner's Association...I know, I know, that not a job that draws a salary but it sure should be. Beautiful homes, wonderful area but someone ALWAYS has something to complain about.

I get paid to provides leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales department, while maintaining focus on my company’s strategic goals. You guessed it....I'm a Sales and Marketing Director.

I'm the oldest guy in this forum. Yes, I am 117. I have many children, unknown to me for the most part, who are older than many forum members.

But I'm viable enough to own a sales and marketing company with a sales force of slaves who generate commission checks that enable me to buys watches. Not many reps, but that may change.

I'm 33. Former bar owner. Now I hang with the rug rats, swing the sticks, and run someone elses restaurant every once in a while. I play powerball quite a bit hoping to swing the sticks a little more. And of course fixate on reps I don't need and probably shouldn't buy but do.

I do absolutely nothing, and get paid for it. For at least a couple months, anyway.

I've spent the vast majority of my life in IT, starting out doing bench repair @ TANDY in the late 80s. I switched to the cellular field doing bench repair on giant steel-cased beasts we called "car phones". After that I went back to the computer field, working for an IBM business partner and Apple dealer called The Computer Market. Go to the "market" to buy "Apples", har, har. Ugh. I did bench repair on Apple IIe's for cryin' out loud.
Left there in '94 and went to work for Holley Performance Products (the automotive aftermarket people) and was the Network Administrator for 10 years. Left there and opened my gun store, did that for three years until the economy took a dump, and then I went to work for Perot as a technical trainer, who has recently given me the shaft. :D C'est la vie!
