Definitely passes on first glance. It's a good step, can't wait for more developments. Might just grab one for a feeler.

This is not a step to the clone, this is just a decorated 6497. Nothing changes !!
Good initiative, good idea, good intention, more accurate, many thanks for make something... as you want. And I sincerelly encourage Ryan and makers to follow in a similar way
But this is never a step to the 3000 clone !!
If we don't want to see the truth we never get our target: the P3000 clone.

in all honesty. i dont expect them to clone a P.3000 mvmt. not unless they have precise measurements&drawings of the actual mvmt or the actual mvmt for that fact. &until that happens. i'm happy to own a 6497 based P.3000 look-a-like. cux the mvmt will just crap out.
thus, i think this is a step in the right direction. like many have pointed, unless u have a GEN side by side, it hard to tell.

I could admit this is a step to a cosmetical solution (inverted layout of course) but not to the Clone P 3000.

I suppose this decorated movement will be used in rep of PAM 372 to appear soon... Indeed better than usual "panerai-ed" 6497 
I like it- while others are fixated on the movement, me- I'd throw some rugged bad-ass strap on it and say FU to whoever wanted to analyze it for authenticity after I punched them in the face and stole their watch.... or maybe I'd simply excuse myself and hang out with people who don't question such things. Depends on my mood.
Hehe,I already ordered one,patiently waiting for QC pics.My favorite PAM,so even if it's far from perfect (mineral crystal,movement "decorations" leave much to be desired),I have to have it

This moveemnt is better than a simply A6497 wit CDG decoration. OF COURSE
Cosmetically speaking is an approach to the gen, not perfect but a cosmetic step.
What I would not like admit is that it is a STEP TO the P.3000 CLONE
If we admit that we will never get a real Clone !!!
It will be very difficult even non admiting it !!

We have excellent clones of 2824 and 2836, why it's impossible to clone P3000?

Of course it is completely POSSIBLE (from a technical point of view)
I think it is a economical matter:
- 2824 and 2836 are installed in many brands an many models
- P3000 are installed only in some PAMs
Quantity makes it no economically viable
But, Luthier you know all that much better than me !!!
