On the caseback. There should be an engraving like: L1108/1200. That means it's an L series and it's the 1108th watch out of the total run of 1200 for that model in that series.

Here is a picture of my old E series 114. You can see the numbers on the bottom-right area of the caseback. E0736/1200

I...I...I... meant the outside not the inside. Yeah, that's it.
Hooli to the rescue again!

Can someone show me where the letter code is found on Pams? If I were looking to buy a pre-owned rep, how would I know which letter I was looking at?
Also, since they are essentially the sane watch just made in different years, is there any real point to knowing the letter code at all?
I appreciate the education, as I am proof-positive that post count does NOT equal knowledge!

Actually on all pam you get a letter follow by some numbers a slash and some more number.
Example:
S73F6224.jpg

Here is H168/2000 on left upper part of case back.
H is the year as stated by Hooli, then this watch is the n°168 out of 2000.

But until the rep of the Pam288k appeared all rep of one watch had the same caseback and almost all 111 had the H035/2000 serial number.
The 288 and all new pam rep coming after had individual serial number like gens.

Each watch as muted during time and the 177 of the first years is not the same as today's,
but the model doesn't change every year, that's why a 177L is the same as an M and will probably be the same as an N....

When the 177L came out there was a lot of demand and they ran out of stock, but even if they produce 10000 of them I believe that they'll be all L. Thus, 5 persons will get the same number.
That's why I assumed that this thread was talking about gen!!!

But I might be wrong and this thread might be talking about rep

We're talking about the 177L rep, BOUDART.

So you're saying that now they're going to make 177M and most likely somebody is going to buy a rep of my watch!!!
What happen when they'll be done with M and N? They'll go to O and have rep of watch that does not exist yet!!!!
