I'm new to the AP game. I'm actually looking for the perfect first AP rep for myself.
But is it just me, or some of these APs are gen? If they are not gens, how did you guys get the date window on the correct spacing?
Please guide this young one at the game of reps. I have a Breitling navitimer world, and tag carrera c16. And I'm looking to buy my first AP. And from what I've read and researched, the biggest tell is the date window being off. But most of the images here, the date window is in the correct position and spacing.

Well, some hardcore here mods their AP, replacing the stock DW with aftermarket one (such as Mikey DW) to achieve more gen-like watches.
Some even go further to franken by using gen parts (such as Gen dial).
Gotcha. That's what I thought. I'm just thinking, though, the price of doing Franken or the mods added, would be twice, maybe even three times the cost of the rep watches itself.
If anything, which AP represents as 1:1? The Lebron James AP rep has the "correct position" of other AP ROOs...but on the gen LJ AP, the DW is even further centered.
I'm looking through all the pages and I'm tempted to ask someone if they want to sell their piece. Haha!
