Great Genesis song about California and looking to strike it rich.

necro-quoting and necro-tag.

Are you a Genesis fan?!?!?! I hope you are the kinda fan that appreciates both - the Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins era. :punk:

I grew up listening to Genesis and other prog-rock bands like Yes, Rush, Supertramp, Camel, Alan Parsons Project etc. I was wondering by coincidence if you are also into those as well.

Definitely, Prog-rock got me through high school  I had vinyl, cassette tapes and cd's of all the bands you mentioned with the exception of Camel. One of my favorite Genesis albums was Trick of the Tail.

1976 A trick of the tail, my two most memorable and favourite songs from that album is Squonk and Ripples - both are amazing musically with beautiful lyrics.

Duke, Wind & Wuthering, ...And Then There Were Three..., and Genesis (1983) are all my personal favourite albums. Last but not the least, I also love Calling All Stations (I find it massively underrated even when Genesis fans predominately disliked Ray Wilson.. there were at least 2 very breathtaking tracks in that album: The Dividing Line and One Man's Fool... damn, those instrumental outtakes and lyrics is mesmerizing and powerful)
