I think the price is justified considering the craftsmanship, artistry and technology involved in making them. A Rolex however....You’re exactly right- I can’t imagine a rep nailing the dial or the zaratsu polishing either.

I agree one hundred percent (on both brands)I think the price is justified considering the craftsmanship, artistry and technology involved in making them. A Rolex however....
Same! Got my first rep in the post today. Only got 'into' watches in January. This forum has been an eye opener - the wealth of knowledge to draw on is astounding.I agree one hundred percent (on both brands)
I doubt I ever buy a grand seiko unless they come WAAAAY down someday, but it’s nice to dream. I actually only have one rep so far too- I’m the personification of a noob. Having a lot of fun reading through all this, though! I’ve reached out about membership too, so I’ll virtue signal about that for a while until I come up with something interesting to say.

My only rep so far is the v7f Breitling Transocean day date, which I bought an aftermarket beads of rice bracelet for. I really love it. I got it from a member of another forum before I found rwi and I lucked out and didn’t get scammed. I just learned that my rep is a fantasy rep, meaning it doesn’t exist in gen- they made black, blue and white dials but never my silver dialGot a Tudor Pelagos from Repsource (a TD in the UK). I also have a no date Sub on order from Andiot. I am impatient and got the Tudor really just to see how good a super clone can be - as well as the fact that it’s a good looking watch. Buying from the UK means I paid a bit of a premium over buying from China but it does have its pluses- next day delivery and better support if things went wrong. I’m really impressed with the quality of the rep. I can’t wait to get the sub and to see that on my wrist. What was your first rep?
I agree, it seems like they’re leaving money in the table there. I feel like they’re could do the movement now that they have done a tourbillion, but I’m not super knowledgeable soI'd like to see an accurate Speedmaster with the correct subdial spacing. Given the number of Speedmaster variations that could be produced with the same movement I'm surprised that it hasn't already been done.
